Qpad MK-50 spacebar crooked
« on: Fri, 13 June 2014, 17:29:55 »
Hello,

Today, I got my new Keyboard, a QPAD MK-50 with Cherry MX-Blue.
I love this keyboard, but there's one thing which I can't accept.
The Spacebar. It's crooked.

Here's a pic:

What can I do ? I don't want to return it, because it took many days until I'll get a new one :s
It would be the last opportunity for me.

I hope you can help me ! Thanks !

Tried taking it off and on again? Might be a Stabilizer that not properly seated.
Keyboards: Dell AT102W (matias standard clicky), Maltron two-hand 3D fully ergonomic keyboard (Vintage MX Black). CM QF XT (MX Grey) IBM model M

How can I do this without damage the keyboard/the switches/the stabilizer ?
I got a Key Cap Puller but I don't know how to use it on a spacebar

For spacebar, just push up on each side with your index fingers.
So, I just need to remove ALT and ALT GR Key and with my 2 index fingers pull up the spacebar ?

Yes. Do it gently and it should work.

Okay thanks for the help.
And to replace it, just hook it up and press the spacebar down ?

Yup, as you mentioned remember to attach the stabilizer first before pressing it down.

I had a problem with my spacebar when I bought my keyboard (it kept getting jammed), i emailed the shop i bought it from and they sent me a new spacebar to put on.

How I pull the spacebar is putting the puller on one side and pulling the spacebar out with two fingers on the other side. Do it gently. Be careful since the white stabilizers can break easily but you can easily buy new ones or getting it with the spacebar the shop MAY send you.
