im not sure a slight delay due to personal commitments constitutes going off the rails, this is a huge task to undertake and i think a great job is being done

Bought myself a Slimblade and a Razer Sabertooth to play with while waiting for this. I could have taken that money and bought a wooden case for the GH60 instead, but I totally wanted something to play with  :D

So how are we doing? I scanned the thread and caught something about a bug in the beta, and WFD having personal issues, but being back. Are we stuck? Anything we can do to help?

WFD was going to send the prototypes out for testing. Based on the results there's one of two possibilities: There's enough changes needed to require a third revision that'll have separate testing, or the changes that are required are trivial so the design will be finalized and mass production will begin. From there it's a matter of shipping, assembly and shipping back out, so there's still a lot of work to be done.

None of this requires your direct input AFAIK.

Thanks for that nice, brief summary. We have this well in hand now. No need to worry at all.

Everything is fine, guys. The prototypes are being shipped, some people have tested the rev. B "unofficially" by getting the PCB made on their own. This has shown one simple error, but otherwise the board works AFAIK.
After we get the prototypes, we need to make sure there are no problems fitting various existing and new cases and we're good to go.

You have to produce test runs before volume production. Hardware patches is much worse than software patches ;-)
I rather wait an have a perfect PCB.

Seriously. Read the thread.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

With all the money we spent they should at least invest in a 12 pack of Pabst....not Natural Ice!

On a serious note everybody....it will be more than worth the wait. These guys are putting so much time into this that they don't deserve any grief.

Not to mention if you're in that much of a hurry for a 60% PCB there are two other GB's which will be shipping MUCH sooner than this.

Good to know!
Which case did you use for it?

SIDE NODE: with the next keyboard I design, I'm going to drop the testing part completely. I'll just release all the production files and wait a month or two until the most impatient people go to the effort of making it on their own. This will assert the board is correct, and then we'll start the production. I think it'll be not only cheaper but also faster. I'm not complaining at WFD here, just shipping things twice makes things last ages.

I used the Plastic Poker2 case, it fits well~ and Imsto aluminum tray also fits!
I tested the GH60 100% Open Source Acrylic Case,it fits well too, but I think it may need a little modification, it cant't fit poker2's PCB.

JD and a few others should already have the proto PCBs by now. The international ones will take a little longer to arrive.

The GB got delayed several times, the past month was my fault, but everything is still in motion.

I can't solder mine up. I don't have any PCB mounted switches unless I desolder my Dolch (which I could since I'll be getting a custom PCB and have the plate already)....

and I can't use PCB mount since I don't have a south swedish ISO 150 with short right shift plate made........

I haven't built mine up, yet, either. For the same reason. The only PCB-mount switches I have have jumpers in them, which I am too lazy to pull out right now.

If you want to do a couple plates quickly, I will send you the files. (Like I already said I was going to do)
