Hey Sprit,
I want to try to clarify the process for everyone in an effort to reduce the amount of questions you have to answer and make everyone more comfortable with how things are going.

I am assuming the following is true, please correct me if I am wrong about anything...

- If you need to modify your current order, you need resubmit an order form.  I think you can either just specify the changes and add comments to specify that they are changes, or you can specify everything that you want to order and specify that the new order replaces all of the other orders you have done.  This is not entirely clear, but I believe both options are fine.
- Once you have submitted/edited your order, wait until you are invoiced to ask if he has your order correct.  If your invoice is unclear or wrong, when you get invoiced, then follow up with Sprit to clarify your order.
- A lot of people have not gotten their invoices yet.  This is normal.  Sprit will start sending invoices again at some point next week.  He is trying to educate PayPal about how GBs work.  Probably not trivial to do.  :)

Sprit has put his own money on the line to keep this GB on schedule, so please be patient...

Hello Spirit,

I did receive a shipping tracking and order status email from Paypal. However, it is only for the case and not the PCB. I know you're having trouble getting approved by Paypal. Could you just clarify: will the PCB be shipped with the case? Also, I still have to pay for the PCB + LEDs.

Hello!     :)

All PCB support PCB/Plate Mount!

Metal Plates support Plate Mount Only,  PolyAcryl support PCB mount Only!

(for the Materials and CNC Machining Reasons)

So now that it's getting closer and closer to the point of no return, I'm starting to have second thoughts about my color choices for the case.

Right now I have these:

1) White PCB, GunMetal plate, 110% with Frosted-White-Frosted

2) White PCB Frosted Plate, 110% with Frosted-Orange-Frosted. This will most likely have the Whitecap + orange legend key cap set

3) White PCB Frosted plate, 87% with Frost-Blue-Green. Now I'm deciding changing this to Blue-Frost-Green but not sure how that will look.

4) Black PCB, Black plate 87%, with Frost-Black-Frost. I want this to be more of a B&W / Full black board for when I'm gaming. Not sure if I want to go Clear-Black-Frost or stick with Frost-*-Frost.

Not sure if I should stick to my original plan as I have 4 combos of just Frost-color-Frost/Color. I mean I might be happy with it, since I'm assuming the Frosted acrylic is just well, frosted acrylic. Sort of semi-matte that is clear/frosted

I'm a guy that likes simple elegant designs, and I generally like B&W contrasts. I'm just not sure how single tone + Accented colors by the means of keycaps and/or LEDs will look.

I'll place my pre-order now, but I'd like to know if I can change my mind later.

Man I cannot decide the finish for my metal case. Will we be seeing samples of the colors/finished case design?
I'll place my pre-order now, but I'd like to know if I can change my mind later.
Thanks again Spirt.
Preorder means nothing, it just means that he can expect that he will get enough cases for moq! So you can change your mind as much as you want! :)
Edit: Do the metal plates have flaps so you can open the switch w/o desoldering?

Yes! Definitely!  I Love GH Phantom Plates!   :)     so east to open the switch w/o desoldering.

Metal cases

For the Metal cases, I have several Designs and Ideas.
Sure, I have my own preferences, but I am trying to respect What the Others want.
So I am donging the Pre-Check, trying to listen You Guys' Opinions!

For This Sprit Model 1 Season GB,  I'd like to show 2~3 Metal designs.
They are now Fixd according to The Pre-Check, and the samples are under machining Now.
As I told You, I am focusing on the Producton of 1st wave of this GB, So the 2nd wave of this GB = ie, the Metal case will start in the Next Week.
The Metal case will be very Heavy as we know,  so It will be shipped Independently with a heavy duty packing.

The Alps GB

The Alps GB has been delayed, because I am sampling the New production of Alps compatilble SW in Taiwan and Hongkong.
The  long discontinued Original ALps SW was one of the Main Barriers to do Alps Custom, in my opinion.
The Quality of the New Custom Alps Compatible SW will be welcomed among some people, I guess.
The New Alps sample PCBs for 60%, 75%, 87% and Plate Samples are almost ready.
The Alps cases are same as Cherry MX cases, so already in production and We will get it soon.
The keycap issue will be the last one.  Let's Climb the ALps Soon!

I believe in the post you said that all SMDs come presoldered. Do you know yet if the USB SMD will be mini or micro? Thanks!

Hey Sprit,

Just one quick question: what layout is the plate going to be? Is it only going to be the normal Winkey/winkeyless layout or there's more choices?

Because when i filled the order form for my order, I don't remember choosing the layout....and I personally want to build this board to the Pure's Layout....

Thanks!

Hank

Are you thinking to provide even Alps compatible keycaps?

Yes it's on my Schedule.  I am an Alps Fan.   Especially the Modern Alps PCBs are Every Fan's Dream, I guess!

The Easy way is Start with Taiwanese ABS keycaps  and Some Later We can GB for Our Taste.    :)

I got some Helps from the Guys Who did IC  this Year,  calavera.

Damn sprit, that sounds awesome!
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.
