I wish I would've been here when this GB happened. My QFR needs those ... lol

I'm sure feng will sell them on either his new site or ebay or both.

23u from Bunnylake to make a white-on-black set for me and a stormtroopper edition for exitfire401. And, calavera's LZ MX Mini. The red looks pretty good in person... on the fence whether I should powdercoat it to gunmetal/black.

Why have the nub'd 5 on the nav? Why not something that excludes it?

Thanks, I agree  :D

that's how it came, although it doesn't really bother me. I do have the rest of the Dolch caps though. What do you suggest instead? I do want to keep the profile the same.

Hehe. I am actually going to see if I can trade it for a black one. That way, I get my color preference and the red lives.

why 2?

One for each hand.

What a noob.

This guy knows what's up ;)

But really... because if I only ordered one with the discount, I'd end up having to pay shipping due to the discount bringing the price below free shipping threshold. It'll be easy enough to sell the extra since its such a hot product right now and there haven't been any sales yet.

Came across one of those mystery savings (10-40% off code) emails from Logitech... got lucky and got the 40% off max savings and ordered two Logitech G502 mice :D

$96 for both G502 mice (free shipping + no tax) so $48 each. Very good price :)

Got my Type-S from Japan! When I first saw the box, my heart stopped. It was in really bad shape.

However, when I opened it up, everything was safe!  :thumb:

Size of box vs HHKB. There was no cushioning on the inside and the hhkb was free to move around   :'(

I ordered it on amazon.jp and used tenso as my proxy. I would highly recommend tenso, they shipped it using Priority Mail Express International and it got to me in less than a week!

Thanks for the info. I thought you might have gotten in on that Rakuten sale with free/discounted shipping that recently happened -- some people seemed to be saying they'd ship directly without a proxy. I couldn't figure it out but I just gave up for the sake of my wallet :p

how does the type s compare to standard HHKB in your opinion?

I like it a lot more!

When I first got my stock HHKB I didn't really like the feel of it, so I silenced and lubed it. It felt really good, but the shortening of the travel distance kinda bugged me. The Type-S feels more sturdy and crisp  than the normal HHKB did. Also, the sounds is heavenly!  ;D

I would definitely recommend this board!

100k MOQ is somewhat out of my reach at this stage… And likely for the future too. Might be reason enough to focus on something else :) Like getting myself some bumblebee yellow number pad keycaps, which Just went out of stock at key pop :(((

Pictures to come later, but after almost two months, I finally I got some of those pink MX stems from China, some Alps clones, some Kailh switches to play with, and a nice Cherry doubleshot set with tons of texture (though a couple of the caps are a little messed up).

Wasn't exactly in the mail but I found this fun plunger over rubberdome board which had Alps stem dyesubs on it. I really like the Phone and Line LEDs. Has a DIN5 connector. Sticker says it was made by Monterey.

Urbanears zinken :) I use them for when I'm outside. They are really soundproof and subtle in design.

As promised, photos of a bunch of the random stuff I got today.  Not all of it came today, some of it came in the last week or two, but this is the first chance I've had to photograph it.  I'm just excited because it's been nearly 2 months waiting for some of this stuff to come from China.

First off, a 60% anodized plate from BillNye.  I added the Ergo Clears with 67g springs, clear housings, and purple stickers to it to give an idea of how it will look with my GH60 or another 60%.

Second, a stainless steel Phantom plate that I painted with automotive paint and tossed some vintage Browns, a stock Clear, and stock Grey in.  I may mess around with the weights, switches, and so on, but that's what I'm thinking when I snag a Phantom.

Some Blue Alps from BlueBar and some caps.  I'm looking forward to messing around with them more, but right now I'm surprised at how heavy of a switch they are.  I was expecting lighter, but they're nice.

Some dirt cheap (like $0.05-0.10 each) Alps type switches that are interesting because they also have Cherry style PCB mounts.  They're similar to White Alps.  I'll be doing a review on them later, but the short of it is they're awesome for what they cost, but not as good as some nice Alps or Mathias Alps.

Some Kailh switches.  I got them to put them through the ringer and see how they stack up.  Interesting fact, when I popped them open, they look to use an identical leaf to some vintage/old Blacks I've opened up in the past.

Some of those Pink MX style stems that popped up on here a while back.  I'll be doing a review of these in the future as well.  They're interesting feeling and really do seem to fall in between a Brown and a Clear like is claimed.

Some OG Cherry doubleshots off of an 1800 I think.  Not perfect (look at the end cap), but not bad for the price.  It was China or Originative.  China won out.

And pictured, but not really photographed alone, some awesome superhero/fantasy/sci-fi/80's cartoons paper from Bunnylake.

Got my Type-S from Japan! When I first saw the box, my heart stopped. It was in really bad shape.

However, when I opened it up, everything was safe!  :thumb:

Size of box vs HHKB. There was no cushioning on the inside and the hhkb was free to move around   :'(
