i agree, so if i am lucky enough to win, i would like to donate a bunny gh60, to person of glissbros choice from this thread
I'd like to win both GH60. In return, I'd be willing to ship out your GH60 order.
Paradox
I'll make you one that's not a part of the giveaway, Bunny :) I'll ask you about switches when I have the PCB in hand <3. No tray/case for it though. Is that OK?

A giveaway within a giveaway. Stop thread jacking, sir.
I took a break from keyboard collecting and gh some time ago. That was exactly the time when all that GH60 stuff happened. I missed the groupbuy. Now I regret it.
I would love to have a GH60, cause then I could finally build the 60% Iso keyboard I'm dreaming of.

i am getting one made by JD, and id love one made by glissbro, to start a collection of geekhack made keyboards made by my favourite geekhackers

In this thread I learned I'm not one of Bunny's favorite Geekhackers :(
rowdy, I think he's keeping it open a few more days, but it will be over before I end my giveaway. You should however enter that group buy no matter what, as I am sure you'll regret it if you suddenly end up with a 60% mx board in the future ;)

Haha, @rowdy, I can't tell if he is trolling you or giving you a chance to make him feel bad about making you buy a set for a board you don't have and increasing your odds of getting one.
I'm pretty sick, so that's the excuse I'm going with when I mention this change; the clack is an orangesicle, not hackorange.

Yeah, I know, but I overspent by nearly $1000 last month and this month is rapidly going downhill, and next month is Christmas - it is getting harder to justify random purchases, as nice as they might seem to me.rowdy, I think he's keeping it open a few more days, but it will be over before I end my giveaway. how about this
nostalgia set is now added to one of the gh60s, this goes with whichever gh60 glissbro wants, and is given totally at his discretion
Awesome guy Glissant strikes again with the giveaway!
If whoever wins the GH60 without a case doesn't have a case for it already, I'll donate an acrylic case to this giveaway. :)

Items I want to win: cherry mx blue GH60 in a clear acrylic case w/ oransicle & nostalgia set.
I'm currently typing on a dell rubberdome, and is contemplating purchasing a mechanical keyboard. However, I wish to own a custom keyboard, and not a mass produced one from a factory in China. A custom built keyboard is infinitely better than a factory keyboard due to its programmable features, tailored key layouts, community support, customizable accessories, and of course, in this case, being FREE (putting a great emphasis on free due to university student financials). I've chosen mx blues due to it being one of the more popular switches, as well as the CLICK everyone associates with blues. This way it would be possible to upgrade the blues to the much raved ghetto green switches in the future with an accompanying beast switch tool and black springs. The nostalgia set would be perfect for a gh60 due to it being the first(?) 60% featured set group buy here, as well as a way of receiving bunny's generosity. The orangsicle would be the CHERRY on top, as it complements the keycap set well and fills the void of novelty and fanciness of the esc position.
Edit: I forgot to mention why I choose not to purchase a custom keyboard from the classifieds.
Aside from student tution and such, I also have quite a severe case of ocd. Most keyboards in the classifieds are used and therefore having conflicting issues with my cleaning disorder. I wouldn't be able to enjoy a preowned keyboard, although they are quite nice (looking at you korean customs). A newly built keyboard would solve this issue and allow me to enjoy the clicky-ness of mechanical switches.
When there is some **** to be won god damn it I want it I don't give a **** what it is! You know I'm talkin' about?! I TAKE NO PRISONERS! I go hard doin' this ****! Big dog, big nuts. When names is on the mother****ing board I wanna see my name at the top of that mother****er next to it it needs to say: WINNER
Thanks again to Bunny for being an amazingly generous person. This community would be unbearable without people like him, tjcaustin, jdacarpe, Bro Caps, CPTBadAss, Halverson, Mkawa, whitefiredragon, and I am sure many more but those are the ones I can be bothered to type right now.
That being said; I am not at all convinced by most of these posts. I was really hoping people would step up and not be lazy, but most of you have just not even thought about what it means to get hundreds of dollars of stuff for free. It's not all about NEED in this world we live in. So even if you don't need what is being given away you could always enter with what you think would be a good entry. Maybe you'll give it away as a holiday gift to somebody? You never know.
Step up your game or I'll be forced to give it all to demilk.
Edit: Halverson, not sure if you're mad that I'm giving it away or not, but I want to say that your gift will forever be in my heart. I just can't stand clacks anymore, so I am giving it away to someone that will hopefully enjoy using it a lot more. Let me know if you feel some sort of way about it, and I'll for sure keep it.
I'd like a GH60 with MX reds. I'm new here, so I missed the opportunity to buy one in the GB. Came here looking for more info on the HHKB as I'm a broke college student. Decided waiting for the GH60 would be worth it.
Hoping for the best.

To be honest I thought at least some people might want to put some effort into winning hundreds of dollars worth of stuff.
I am interested to win the GH60 and the clack. What I will do is that I will sell the GH60 to a (lucky?) person in my country at the highest possible price and donate 100% of the money back to GH for the running of the site. I do hope to get the clack though as I have never owned one and if I do, I will also donate some of my own money for the clack to GH together with the sale of the GH60.

I tried too and my intention is to flow the money back into running GH website, unless GH does not need this funding. The reason I do this is because when I read Glissant generous offer, I was humbled by his generosity and the first thing I thought about is how could I give back? I may be new here but I find that I was able to contribute a lot more in GH compared to other forums. Something in this community flows well with me. So, what better way than to win the GH60, change it back into $ and pump it back into GH website to ensure it's longevity.
y'all MFers need reasons. need to stop acting like it's a damn chore to take something for free.

I joined GH in September when I started venturing into the worlds of mechanical. If you joined after that, you might think I am old here :P
Edit: just viewed your profile. You joined in Sept too.. so yeah, we are both new. I don't know about you but to me, if you have not spent a year in a forum, you are still new .. ha ha ha ..
yeah im sorry but i dont believe that **** one bit.
he could have done the same if his intent was to give back to gh servers. but he wants people to enjoy the keyboard/caps
I remember you because when I posed about the codes getting back in stock, you bought one

No worries! Was worth a shot :oThat wasn't even a shot. That was a game losing air ball.
Orangesicle whaaa!? OK, shiz just got real, so I'll try to once again prove my passion for orange.
It is the proud school color of my dad's alma mater, Oregon State, it's also where I graduated as well... so orange has flowed through my veins since I was born. There are probably other members who may like the color orange, but I dare you to find another loves the color more than me.
Exhibit A: despite being lactose intolerant, I still buy stupid stuff like this ice-cream, because it's orange and has a beaver on it.MoreShow Image(http://i.imgur.com/ahUKdHT.jpg)
Exhibit B: we show up to tailgating on these orange and black wheels.MoreShow Image(http://i.imgur.com/8BJ9ZfC.jpg)
Exhibit C: I keep my partner's stuffed animal sheep warm with orange beaver mittens every game day as a lucky charm.MoreShow Image(http://i.imgur.com/6gnuNiN.jpg)
(there are more pictures of this stupid thing than I'd care to admit)
I gaurantee that Orangesicle will have a loving home alongside Hackorange on a very orange keyboard. CheersMoreShow Image(http://i.imgur.com/8kukQXh.png)

It says exactly what to do in the first post, it's then up to you to think what might convince me.I tried.(The second time) Like I said this isn't for me. I can't really afford anything now that I paid for a computer for my older brother and I am trying to pay some bills. These high school budgets suck. Saw this post and didn't really think about his own board until I saw the box laying in my room. His computer arrived with no keyboard so I am venturing out for a board and paying bills, and going to school lol.

I know that my low post count makes me a lesser member, that's how things work, but I still wanted to point something out.
I'm having mixed feelings about all this situation. I don't know where I'm going with this but let me try and analyze it.
So basically this is a giveaway but contestants have to deserve the prize. After all, why not, that can be fun. Most entries are about what makes GH a cool place and how your doing this makes it even cooler. Others tell a story and it's nice, it helps build a community spirit.
Then, when some posts are not up to your standards (since entries are rated on how convincing you think they are), you decide to retract an item. Didn't you think advertising for a free CC would attract at least a few useless "gimme" entries? As Demik pointed it out, these are "game losing air balls", they are bound to happen, this is the internets, not a book club. Just don't pay attention to them and carry on. Retracting the clack basically feels like you're saying "none of you are worth it". So what about people who spilled their guts here trying to show a part of themselves that maybe they weren't too comfortable sharing with total strangers on the Web? Not worthy? You decide.
Again if anyone would like to know more feel free to PM me. Thank you for listening.
Will read again when I'm not half asleep/medicated, but thanks for sharing.

You outta luck son!
I have yet to be persuaded, and if this makes me look like a bad person to you, so be it.Just clarify something too, I have nothing against you or the principle of this giveaway Glissant. Nor am I butthurt in any way. Simply, the fact that the rules of the game may change when it's already started makes me feel like the game is rigged.

When will the giveaway end? And when will the winner be notified?
is it possible to win the kit so one could build it themselves? that would be the ultimate gift for someone like me :) I love building stuff. didn't know if they were prebuilt or not.If by some miracle i win a GH60 i am in for this too ;D
dont underestimate how nice it is to have a board built by someone just for you, its nice to build boards and learn etc, but you can always take apart a board and do that, but you wont have another opportunity to have someone like gliss build you something custom jsut for you out of the kindness of his heartThis is just what i was thinking but the other thing that passed through my mind was that is Glissant doesn't have much free time and/or something else i will be happy to get a DIY kit (as i said IF by some miracle it happens that i win). But yeah on the other hand i agree with you that getting something that is build by someone means alot more then just getting some parts and building it on your own.

To me, either way it would be invaluable. This would be one of those sentimental type gifts that you just can't explain to people. Similar to the Bunny cap that I have that keep floating around my boards even though it doesn't match worth a darn.

I'll ask the persons that win if they want a kit or if they want it built by me :).
From now on any entry will do, but those that took some time will get two entries.

I'm going to end this by the first week of December. Clack and brobot might still be given away depending on mood on the day of drawing. Who knows.Oh ok thanks! ;)
That is a really nice story i enjoyed reading it ^^
I wrote a story, it take up a lot of room so if you would like to read it, just expand and enjoy!More
A father is working in his office late on night.
"Damn..." he said, "This needs to be ready for deployment by the morning".
Taking a sip of his gourmet coffee he continues typing away with an expert dexterity.
click...click..click click click...click.
Upstairs in the room above him a young 2 year old girl is trying to fall asleep but the rhythmic sounds coming from her father's office keeps her awake.
After a few minutes she decides to go see what her father is working on. What could possibly keep him up this late?
Thud Thud Thud...He hears footsteps coming from up above.
"What is that girl doing up there?" he wonders.
Suddenly the door to his office creaks open with a soft push from the girl.
"Daddy?" she says.
"Yes, baby?" he replies.
"Why are you still awake?"
Before he can respond she says, "When the sky is dark that means it is night night time. That's what you tell me".
"Not for me tonight baby", he says.
"Why?" she replies.
"Well baby, daddy has to have something done by the morning so I have to stay up until it is done even if the sky is dark. You understand?" he says.
"I guess...", she pauses, "I know!" she shouts. "I will help you, that way you can go night night!" she says with an innocent tone. "I go get my laptop, be right back, okay?".
"What is she up to now?" he thinks.
Moments later she returns with her My Little Pony Learning Laptop and sits in her teddy bear chair and opens her laptop.
"Okay daddy, I will work so we can go night night soon" she says.
"Okay baby" he says.
Minutes pass. Click...click click click...click....
"What's wrong baby?", he says as he notices she is just staring at her laptop.
"I need a keyboard daddy".
"Your laptop has a keyboard in it baby".
"No! I need a work keyboard like you daddy" she says.
Yes that's right, she always calls his keyboards, "Work" keyboards.
"I can't help without a work keyboard" she says.
"I'm so sorry baby, I forgot, hold on a second".
He stands up and opens the closet and grabsanother keyboard and sets it in her lap and goes back to work.
Click....click click....click.
He stops for a second and watches his daughter. She is fumbling with the USB cord. Trying to plug it into the non-existent connector on her My Little Pony Learning Laptop.
She mimics plugging it in and the cord falls to the ground. "Okay daddy, I'm ready to work!, okay?" she says.
This made him laugh...He remembers that she loves his keyboards because as she says, they make pretty sounds.
Together they work, click click click...click...click...click click.
Half an hour later he stops typing....silence...he looks at his daughter and she is fast asleep with the keyboard still on her lap.
He takes the keyboard and sets it on his desk and picks her up. She pushes her face into his chest and hugs him tightly. He takes her upstairs and puts her back into bed.
Before leaving he gives her a kiss and says, "I love you."
"I love you too daddy....Did we get the work done?"
"Yes baby we did, Thanks to you" he says.
He walks out of the room and goes back to his office to finish his work. He smiles and thinks, "This will be a night I never forget".
Click...click click....click click click.
The End
This is based slightly on a true story of mine....the time was changed,
but My daughter loves my keyboards so much that I have to hide them from her during the day or she will just have them all over the house. :)
I thought it would be fun to write up a story bout it. I hope you enjoyed it.
That is a really nice story i enjoyed reading it ^^

Yeah, rowdy :) It's a skull and it's mx. Thanks for reminding me :)) I had totally forgotten to add that. Hope that doesn't discourage you from still wanting to win it.
I'd like to say good luck to everyone. Having won a keyboard in the past from Gliss, he's an amazing guy with the biggest heart. An absolute saint and his wife is equally awesome! Both deserve the upmost respect and credit.
I'm not eligible to get one but whoever does, I envy sososo much! I'd love a 60% keyboard and hope to be able to get one in the far far future sometime. I'm sure whoever wins will adore their gift.
As for the CC, it's orange. Not as good as purple in colour but amazing nonetheless!
This post containing my actual reason for wanting that Orangesicle. I saw this old school MK1 VW Jetta redone in this color when I went to the New England Dustoff 2013 VW show and I've fallen in love with the color since!Show Image(https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/902371_10201210041678231_1230689244_o.jpg)

OMG that's beautiful! I had a 92 gti
I think I had a much better chance of winning one of these when the goal was to persuade him with why we should get it. Alas, now I am just a number... :)
This is now closed. People that invested time on a post will get one more ticket in the drawing than the ones that didn't. Yes it's probably unfair to someone blablabla. It's my giveaway and I'll cry if I want to ;).
Winners will be announced when I'm not exhausted.
I WON!
Wohoo, first thing I win ever!!
