Cool, nice to see the design innovation and have it being produced locally is great too.

What is the distance between the bottom edge of the bottom row of keys and the farthest out bottom edge of the case itself? I ask because I'm curious how close I'll be able to get a wrist rest to those keys given the overall shape.

Shady green is my fave too.

Thanks!

Oh boy, this one hit me like a truck. Really nice work. I instantly fell in love with that pink.

Just the font on the bottom is kinda squishy. Not fitting that well imo.

Love the aggressive design, I think this really goes well with some modern setups, I know I'll be heavily considering this.

Interesting design. I'm not sure if I've missed it but what's the mounting method for the board?

Based on the screw hole locations in the plate render, perhaps top mount?

The Conone itself looks wicked :) really like this, feels fresh and totally not right (in a good way)!

Nice to see a different style case design - done well too. Also logo placement and squiggle underneith work for me - 95% of boards have me sold until I see the godawful logo design. This one did not made me cringe. Congrats.

I'd like to know more about how the case opens and closes magnetically.

My guess is that you can pry it open by holding down the USB-C port recess and lifting up from the interior lip of the top case. Is that about right?

Nice looking design, shady green is  :thumb:

The PCB looks like it fits screw-in stabs, however the plate looks like it does not support this?

Also, maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but the plate render layout does not appear to match the layout of any of the renders with keycaps?

Once this goes to GB, do you plan on making it completely open? Or will it be a limited run?

So it's a "sandwich"-ish mount type where the metal plate is magnetically squished between the two pieces? I'm curious about how the plate is mounted in a system where the top/bottom pieces are connected magnetically. Another user has suggested that the plate is screwed into the top frame based on the render, is this the case?

Also still thinking about this, but I would personally loooove to see it in Burgundy! :3

Few points

Firstly, how is the plate connected to the board? This was asked above but all you mentioned were the two case halves connecting together; not how the plate was mounted. This will be integral to people’s understanding of the typing experience of the board.

Also, I’m interested in a few measurements; how high at the front is that edge? It doesn’t look particularly low and may affect some people’s typing style.

You also mention that this is going to improve the typing experience - how? What science has been done behind this to show that it improves the typing experience, and what is the baseline that the improvement will be from?

I’m assuming you will do a prototype prior to production as well; many ICs don’t open without a prototype these days to show that it works in practice as well as design.

You also say running a group buy won’t be an issue as you have experience - can you elaborate on that? The packaging, QC, shipping of 90 boards can be quite intensive and it’s worth considering why many keyboard designs run through vendors rather than just individuals doing it themselves.

That being said I really like the look of this design. I do think it would have been nicer as a 60% as you could have really made it fit that futuristic aggressive feel. I also think offering a polished raw case would really fit the style if that’s something you are interested in.

We actually covered this board on Top Clack earlier this week as well where I went into more detail about my thoughts; but big thumbs up for selecting Maarten and Salvun to work with. Maarten has done some great PCBs in the community (including some work for my boards) and Salvun is exceptional at what he does (and is nice to talk to as well).

I can’t wait to see a prototype of this and then pick one up in the GB, then show it off on Top Clack :)
