"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I always wanted a gameboy micro. It was one of the few gameboys I didn't get.
It was a pure impulse buy for me. I just really wanted to play all my old gba games and my SP broke a while back. Hopefully I won't regret the purchase.

Wasn't the SP the stupid little box version with the screen fold over? I always found it too small and got a backlight installed on my day 1 GBA instead of "upgrading". It seemed to have a better range of light anyway.

Welp, just picked up an HHKBP2 type-s. Time to feel the hype for myself. I already know I don't like the 45g domes on the stock, so it'll be getting 55g'd not long after I get it from my 87u.

Don't be too sure. The 45g on the HHKB is much, much different than the 45g on the RealForce. Try it for a few days or a week before making your final decision.

I'm aware. I've used an HHKB before, and it still feels too light to me. I'll use it for ~2 weeks prior to making the switch for review purposes, but I do completely intend to switch to 55g after that period.

Nope, it's one of my first boards. ;)
It's the KC TKL from my sig (click 'more' for a link to pics). I just never was able to use all the complete keysets I have because the spacebar had nonstandard spacing. And just using a wider 6.25 wire didn't help. So I had Margon put a stainless steel universal plate in that I got from a GB here. It will be my modding board... with Costar stabilizers. ;)

I sold my 7970 a few weeks ago for $300 and realized I could probably have gotten $350.

I just picked up the 280x w/ code for $279. The rebate would have gotten it down to $250 and I can sell the games that came with it for $30.

$300? In the states? People are having a hard time getting $200. 290's are going for $300. I'd say you did pretty good. But why go from a 7970 to a 280x? Same card. Better cooler?

There was a while when NO ONE could get their hands on 7970 or any of the new R9 line up. My Diamond 7970 was about 2 years old so I sold it knowing I could buy a new card w/ warranty later on. I probably should have gotten a 290 if I had waited long enough.

This bad boy, can't wait.  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131548

That's so baller.

Just picked up a Powercolor R9 280x. Unfortunately I missed the rebate deadline.

Its nice to see AMD prices sane again. THere are some great second hand deals to be had on minig cards right now. If you of course trust the previous owner that he kept the heat at reasonable levels.

Oh wells, technology is always moving forward.

Yes this is very true but that ship sailed a month or two ago. Recently there was a flood of those cards when everyone bailed from mining. People were taking huge losses just to get something.
