Because the keycaps are some of the nicest Cyrillic-caps ever made .
The English lettering is Double-Shot, the Cyrillic is RED Dye-Sublimation ..
And they are surprisingly rare, apparently most of those produced by Cherry ended up in some land-fill
because they where to expensive at the time .

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure it's 100% dye sub since it's hard to double shoot PBT and you can't dye sub ABS sooo.....

Actually the Russian is pad print as is the case with most of Cherry dual language on doubleshots. There are some set that both is doubleshot, but its same color legend for both. I have US set with Spanish charachter in green on white like that.

€125? I'll just pretend I missed this. :>

Edit: lysol, exactly my thoughts. I would've bought it for €80, but for this price... Nah. It's an extremely nice deal, but I can't help but think there's better deals out there for something else. Then I'm not really a collector either.

True.
All dye-sub is fine with me :)
It's hard to tell from the pictures and this being a "OEM-board" or whatever, the sticker on the back could mean anything .
3 days and I'll know for sure ..

EDIT :
I found this old post by sixty :
Quote
Cyrillic (1988-1992) (in two versions, one with pad printed cyrillic letters, one with sublimation dyed ones - one of the most expensive sets to Korean collectors, beige only)
Cyrillic (2007) - 104 keys, Entire set of white double shot keys with red laser infill. One of the rarest sets and one of the last official boards with double shots.

I bought one... more than I would have like to spend, but I'm not letting it get away. I just hope they don't reduce the price later or something. If it didn't have the DDR production label I would have been much less likely to spring for so much.
Being that its the DDR version, the HASRO could go either way with doubleshot/pad print or dyesub.

All gone.

Quote
I have only this 3 pcs, no more... :)

I knew somehow the first one was for testing the field and then he would release some more after selling it like he have been doing with those SKIDATA keyboards.

I doubt he has some more of this though since I don't see any reason why he would warn about a limited quantity if he was planning to sell more. But who knows...this seller is a smart one who like to play with prices.

I paid 142€ shipped what would be ~186USD. Quite high but you don't see this often on Ebay so you can't pass the chance.

Will be taking pictures as soon as it arrives.

Congratulations Lysol. Did you receive the SKIDATA ?

I think we saved em'all from Silly-price Land !!

Think about it : He could just auction them off on ebay.com and get silly-money for them,
but he gives us Westerner-trash a go at them first, at a fixed priced that's actually 'fair' ..

( I found this because I was just about to press 'jetzt kaufen' on one of those SKIDATA's with Danish caps ..
And then I decided to check his other listings first ....)

Even though I get one, I am also somehow sad. Now I will have nothing left to search for really. Also, there went most of what I had set aside for a GTX670 that I kind of need. I suppose I can sell a couple of my 1800 to recover.

This seller list as international, so they actually did show up on ebay.com and ebay.whatever too I assume.

Next time this happen to you you should change the ".de" part of the link for ".com" and it should appear instantly in English. At least this work for me with the ".es" version and I see the page in spanish and the shipping price is updated.

Yes that work if they are sell international. If they have it for a region only it can change the language but it informs you it is not possible to purchase it. I favorited the seller but that could be bad for me LOL.

It seems you are correct with dyesub, it took me awhile to find the person that had posted ESA-HASRO. If they had followed the correct designation for the model number it would have been doubleshot/pad print though. With dyesub it should have really been SASRO.

There are still lots of rare Cherry keyboards and Cherry caps I bet you don't have. Like this rare dye sub set:
http://imgur.com/roGlw

Or how about this rare board. All the colored caps, except for the F1-F4 and the Q are Cherry dye subs:
http://imgur.com/Rs3vN

Both of these will take you a lot more time to find than Cyrillic dye subs...those are child's play. Actually, the first link is the only set I know of. Talked to a handful of Koreans and none of them have ever seen a set before.

Did you mean to link something?

Either way, they are for sure dye subs. I have the board in front of me. I was surprised when I got it since i thought only a few of them would be dye subs. I was pleasantly surprised.

What's even weirder is they are Cherry Corp dye subs with a font I have NEVER seen them use for dye subs. It's the older font used on lasered caps...and it doesn't even match the thin PBT caps that fill in the rest of the board.

I forgot about his board. So he has the thin PBT caps that at least match the colored ones in font. I assume my board must have been made a little more recently or something.

Didn't really have anything to do with this thread. Lysol was stating there was nothing left to find that is rare which is just not true.

But this seller is a biggest douche. Lists up, what 6 of these? And on the last auction states that they are the last ones and he has no more. Then this morning he lists 10 more of them in 4 different auctions...once again stating on each auction that he has no more after this.

Giant douche of a seller. Too bad it's people like this that score rare items.

Hey, he has close to 49.000 sales ..
And HE has the dope, for whatever reason, so in my book it's fair enough .
More cash to Europe, less to Korea is fine with me !

Plus, it only makes my board even more absurdly 'valuable' .

@  BiNiaRiS :
I wasn't being /S ..
Those pictures made your point quite well :
There's always more to collect !

EDIT : The auction I'm looking at is for a USED keyboard !!
JHFC, my wife better not see this, if she does I won't have the board no more  !!

Lysol, I was glad to see you got a NIB-one for a relatively fair price ..
(I mean: You can STILL make a load of cash on it, if you ever sell it !!)

But like I said earlier :
Soon it won't matter, 'somebody' has all the original Cherry-cap machines and tooling
and they are willing to start the machines !
In fact, you should bring this sale to the attention of your connection in Kraut-Cherrycap Land !!
(NO offense intended, I rather like the Germans...Despite the fact they have owed my country a few billion ..For 70 years )

I Think the 'O' in 'HASRO' means 'Oligark-edition' !!

(Sorry to hear you didn't get one Alessandro ..
If you have the cash, you should go for that dye-sub UK-layout g81-3000 they have on auction.
It's the old MY-switches, pretty sure they are plate-mounted, like on my g81-3000 HAM with danish doubleshots.
It's very nice keyboard to type on in fact, and UK-English virgin dye-sub caps are not seen often )

Yes, but the other ones, you actually have a NEED for !
I really hope that board goes to someone in the UK, don't let the 'g81' get in your way,
old plate-mounted MY-switches are a lot better than their reputation would let you believe .
Especially with those super-thick PBT-caps !

I bought one from this seller.
But Today I got the message from buying service.

"Sorry, We check again and then out of stock now"

Yeah why this seller tell me now after five days?
I think it might be associated with this.

http://www.ebay.de/itm/SEHR-SELTENE-CHERRY-TASTATUR-ESA-3000-HASRO-KEYBOARD-ENGLISH-RUSSIAN-VERY-RARE-/310526616726?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D4050764679737368737%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%
3D310526616726%26

It's already over 505 euro daxx it.
Very greedy seller, I have never seen before like him.

He might pretend he doesn't have. He sell or put them at auction again.

Oh man, I had forgot about this thread.

Don't worry those that didn't get one, you can buy peter's.  It's on ebay for $750 to start and if you can't wait 9 days, it can be your's right now for the low low price of $2275.

EDIT: And yes, I *am* going to call you out on this imbecilic decision at every turn.

It's ok with me if they keep pushing up the prices. Then maybe my trade proposal for a Ferrari is no longer far fetched. LOL.

Actually though I do hope no one buys them. Paying more than $200 for one is kind of silly even to me.

Yes they are 100% dyesub, both legend. Mine also has vintage blacks and NKRO, so it's also a nice winkeyless ansi 3000 in addition to the keycaps. Now, only to exchange the AT cable for PS/2 one so I don't have to use retarded adapter :)

If it's got NKRO, just run it into a soarer box.
If you want to solder a new internal connector on it, I have a PS2 cable from a NIB G81 that I cut off (it's a good cable! I never throw out good cable.) before throwing the KB away. You can have it if you like.

I guess I could make one for you, but I'd need at least a good picture of the connector and the pinout.

I got the ps/2 cable covered, have some new Cherry ones I got from somebody for just these kind of thing. No fancy converter needed for AT to PS/2 swap.
I haven't gotten around to open it yet, but many model just have a little mini connector so not even soldering is needed. Just unplug one and plug in the other and close it up. If not, then 4 or sometimes 5 solder points is no problem.

What I meant was soldering a new one of those connectors onto my cut-off cable (Then plug it into the keyboard internally), but if you've already got it covered, great. Maybe I'll clip both ends and make a sweet coiled USB cable or something.
