Quality of this show had its up and downs , I didn't liked the plot of the last season , but I liked how well built the episodes were , and the fact they did 1h15 episodes . I'll watch the finale tonight oOHouse of cards. :pThat show is amazingA lot of shows ,

I really like how they wrote the characters in that show. They aren't all likable, but the interactions between them and the odd angle you look at them from is incredibly interesting to me.

Archer and Arrested Developement are the only shows I've binged recently - currently watching the 4th season of AD for the first time, got to say I'm not that impressed, all the jokes seem really forced...Just got to the end of Game of Thrones too, quite good and one of the few things that the Mrs and I can sit down together and enjoy.

Based on the setting and plot I was expecting to hate it (texas, football, high school). But it was surprisingly good, and not at all what I expected. It might not have the popularity of a lot of the shows mentioned, but I think it is better written and acted than a lot of them.

There are too few asians in hollywood.. even fewer that can speak proper english..
and the few scenes where he's not wearing a shirt.. I mean.. come on.. a mongol with pathetically thin arms like that ?

Agreed that the Great Khan could have been picked a bit better.
Lately I have been contently watching the X-Files, and I will finish all nine seasons if its the last thing I do.

I was previously addicted to Breaking Bad, but I didn't get to binge watch it since I was on that train from the outset, having thought the premise to be interesting . I suffered through every single cliffhanger ending from week to week and then the long ones at the season breaks and prayed they could keep it up till and through the finale, and that was some of the most top notch work from beginning to end. Loved it.
Now, though I find the Walking Dead to be pretty compelling, it isn't the one I can't do without. Game of Thrones, same story. This time something on a broadcast network has me addicted and loving it - am hooked entirely on Person of Interest. That keeps getting better and better. And Jim Caveizel (sp?) would have made a much better Batman for the upcoming movie than Ben Affleck. Kinda really enjoying Tim Mison in the Sleepy Hollow series though... My other really guilty pleasure that I dearly love is Supernatural - Gotta have me some DEAN WINCHESTER HOTNESS to keep the week alive!

But P.O.I. is the real gem out of them all. I don't even remember what first intrigued me about it, but it is way exciting to watch even after they killed off Jos.
And oddly enough, I can't wait for the next season of Dragons:Riders of Berk - Toothless is too adorable and he reminds me of my black pitbull runt who has a similar personality. I wanna make him a costume for halloween next year. =)

Coming up on my 4th time through the entire series of LOST. I think I have a problem. lol I was hooked on Breaking Bad before LOST, and now I can't wait for Better Call Saul.
Do you watch the whole thing when you rewatch LOST? I find myself "forgetting" to watch seasons 5 and 6... :rolleyes:
I am bugged by seasons 5 and 6 to no end (mostly 6), but I can never let myself stop at 4 once I've committed to rewatching LOST.

I really did enjoy the ending of the Avatar television series but I think some of the fans are overhyping the confirmation of Korrasami. But I really do hope they release graphic novels, since I'm still trying to get over the fact that the avatar series is finished :'(.
Another TV show that I just got into lately (read: just finished binge watching all the episodes over the past 2 days) is Brooklyn Nine-Nine if you're a fan of comedy shows like Parks and Rec and The Office than you should definitely give this show a look.

It is, but it is repetitive. I still like it though. Hugh Laurie is VERY funny.

Lots, but my favorites in order are TWD, it's always sunny (1a/b) arrow, agents of shield, and recently the 100. Binge watching ftw. 15 episodes in 3 days thus far. There's the little short dude that's great..
And the Cgi dragons..

The weakest character IMHO is the blond.. No Nobility in those periods would be un-sexist enough to follow a little fat blond chick into battle.. It's just so unrealistic..

Game of Thrones. I waited until about a month ago to watch the whole series, totally worth it. New season starts this Sunday!
It got lengthy for me..
I don't think they needed to tell the story on most of those characters, they're simply not interesting..
There's the little short dude that's great..
And the Cgi dragons..
the only 2 things I like about the show..
The weakest character IMHO is the blond.. No Nobility in those periods would be un-sexist enough to follow a little fat blond chick into battle.. It's just so unrealistic..
Actually the backstories of most of the charecters are important especially later in the story. I belevieve the TV show is 2 books behind the written series (the newest book is supposed to be realesed "soon"). Not sure who you mean by little fat blond chick... Daenerys is blond, but not fat at all (and she has dragons).
I get that the story is important to people who care about the book..
But my point is that, to someone who has not invested in the universe.. The characters' stories as presented "on tv" at least is not very enticing.
And I don't know bout how daenery looks in the book..
but on the show, she's this pudgy blond chick, and despite the CGI dragons, you can't visually take her seriously as a "leader" that old world soldiers would actually follow..
Your definition of pudgy seems skewed.

I personally think Emilia Clarke is hot a hell and not even remotely pudgy, but the real hotty on that show is Carice Van Houten (the evil looking, fire-obsessed chick in the red dress).

and that conflicts with this female leader character she's playing..
Now if they had.. Charlize Theron..from "the huntsman" that'd make it a more convincing character.

Judd Hirsch plays the character of the jewish baby grown up..
Now.. THe main character is an ENGLISHMAN, as is his ENGLISH wife..
HOW could the baby completely raised by them grow up to be so "Jew-ee".. hahahaha.. with all full blown jewish mannerisms and hand-gestures and accent and intonations ...
It's such a huge plot hole....
I mean.. the character itself "Abe" is great, and loveable, as is any character played by Judd Hirsch, but... this is CLEARLY a mistake..

Definitely worth watching. Totally different show. But, the producers make a lot of assumptions about the audience's understanding of Breaking Bad. In that sense, the show couldn't stand on its own, but in another sense they are taking it in a totally different and original direction. Some people seem to think they're taking too long to develop the story but Id' rather have that than have it be rushed.

Unless, you argue that perhaps there were enough other jews around "judd hirch's" character abe while he was growing up to have influenced his demeanor..
It seems impossible that the main character and his wife (both very British in demeanor) could've imparted so many distinct jewish mannerisms on Abe while having 0 such qualities themselves,

I just finished 12 MONKEYS. That show went from being as bad as the movie to actually something great after the first epIsode.

i don't really care about technical merits of anime, like animation, because at the end of the day it's like 20 fps tops anyway. i prefer to focus on the feel, plot, and impression it leaves. the whole kawaii/otaku thing killed these qualities in most modern anime imo.
so far it's pretty good. soundtrack is very nice too.

To chime in on the anime discussion, two recent animes that are in my all time favorite movies/shows/etc. are: Kill La Kill (hilarious, amazing animation, epic) and Ping Pong: The Animation (amazing and unorthodox animation, beautiful art/story).
Couldn't get into Kill La Kill. It's like they fed Gurren Lagann with steroids and then took away the character development. Too much fanservice.
Vikings on History is another great show! Always been a sucker for Norse mythology.

was really into monster, an anime about a doctor chasing a serial killer a while back (an anime with ADULTs as main characters, I had to watch it). was disappointed about ending though.

30 Rock and Hannibal (Officially canceled however).
30 Rock is a lot of fun. Tina Fey has been accused of being too preachy, but I think 30 Rock does a good job of making fun of all sides equally.

I know right? It was so well done, especially when you compare it to today's programs. Hopefully someone else will be able to pick up the show, at least that is what the creators hope for as well. They are in some kind of bind where Amazon owns some part of it? They don't know if they will want to sink money into it. However, if they got out of that contract I could easily see Netflix picking it up. There's a future somewhur!

The West Wing... Uhhhhhh my god. So cheesy and 'murican as ****, but I love it. Don't know why I didn't watch it before.
The West Wing was one of the first shows I ever watched where I can remember thinking, "this is some brilliant dialogue."
I want to see a West Wing crossover where Rob Lowe plays as Chris Traeger from Parks and Recreation, instead of Sam Seaborn. And Charlie Sheen can replace his dad as the President.
