Title: Sandy55 site closing!?
Post by: engicoder on Fri, 17 April 2015, 21:06:59
I was getting a lot of 404's with old links to Sandy's site. I found this on the main page:

Sandy

Would be a shame to loose this excellent resource.  :(

Sandy55 was like a one man keyboard encyclopedia. Alps force curves? Rare Alps boards? Odd ball Topre? Indepth information about all these JP only boards? He had them all. A lot of the DT Wiki seems to been gleaned from his website.

To me? God-tier keyboard information resource.

I never quite figured the wayback machine (even though I am old enough to remember it from 1960s Peabody cartoons!)

My original initiation into keyboard modification was using Sandy55's classic IBM bolt-mod guide. That was probably early-mid-2011. How do I look for that?

Looks like it's still up (for now)

Sandy's site is definitely hit and miss right now. Some stuff is still there, with some stuff returns 404.

This is junk.

For several years, he had the real, industry-standard, go-to guide for bolt-modding a Model M.

Well, I don't know what it looked like.  All I could find was ripster's "american style" Sandy's mod from the old wiki
