Less than 24H left! Type S HHKB (PD-KB400WS)

Why does the description say added blue o-rings? That makes no sense.

hmm that's an interesting point. didn't even notice LOL, who knows.
-
Don't you know blue o-rings on a type-s is the way to go
Duuh
-
maybe the seller means to say it's silenced? but ebay protection, so if it turns out to be a dud then there's always that
-
I don't think eBay protection will help you. It doesn't say type-s anywhere
-
Yeah buyer beware on this one.

The auction titled model number is "PD-KB400WS". That's the corresponding model number for the type S HHKB. If the seller doesn't deliver the correct model, that is enough to open a case on the sale. eBay protection should cover this, or at least paypal, under not receiving the items that the seller claimed to sell.
-
And the seller could point out the description and say it was sent as described and who knows what you'll end up with.

We *could* just ask the seller for an additional photo to verify if it's a Type-S, ya know.
:P
Any questions, just ask!

I asked for clarification earlier , haven't heard anything yet. :D
I should point out I'm not interested for myself but I don't want to see anyone else get burned.

Plot twist: it's a poker II
-
Also consider: "MPN: Does not apply"
Seems really sketchy that nowhere in the description does he actually put the MPN
He does put the brand as PFU so he has to at least ship a PFU board
-
Did anyone here get it? That ending price was a steal.

I watched it the entire time. 30 seconds left I thought for sure someone would snipe it.
But nop.
I guess people were scared about the description

Yes, you would be covered by eBay buyer protection, however, if you didn't live in the UK, you would be responsible for footing the return shipping cost. In order to force a refund, the item would have to be sent back with online viewable tracking and proof of delivery. For an international shipment, that can get very expensive. Even if the board turns out to be a standard HHKB, that was still a pretty good price. I personally wouldn't have taken a chance given the inept description, use of a stock photo, and the fact that the seller has a negative feedback mark on his record.

The one negative feedback is an order cancellation from the past 12 months. Not that bad IMO
Footing the bill can be killer. PayPal / eBay can potentially force a refund.
I had an issue with a Chinese scammer for a $30 item. He sent me a hello kitty keychain. I called PayPal and complained. Originally they wanted me to send it back with tracking which would have cost $40 but they agreed to refund me.
No guarantee that they would ever do it for others or for me again.

PayPal can do courtesy refunds out of their pockets, but I'd say it's very unlikely they would do such a thing for a $130 item. Even if they agreed to it as a one-time deal, it wouldn't be worth it on this particular item. As I said, if the item turns out to be a standard HHKB, the final price is still a good deal, and you could easily flip it for a decent profit, especially if you don't put it back on eBay.
