Noisy this could have something to do with your issues at work.
I shower at least twice a day, if not three times. You guys are disgusting!
22 days. I was living in Lhasa, Tibet and had pneumonia. I had cracked 2 ribs coughing. Just couldn't muster the energy to shower, and I didn't have heat so I was worried it would make things worse anyway. Not my finest hour. You should write a book. Such an interesting life.
23 days while out on exercise in Canada. It was boiling hot in the middle of July, and I was sat in a tank within six inches of a red hot engine for 12-18 hours a day, and it was probably the worst three weeks of my life.
You get to the point where you stop smelling yourself. Luckily my hair was quite short so that wasn't too horrible, but I still ended up seriously dirty.
Here was me after said three weeks. Oh yeah, and that shirt did not get changed the whole time.Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/3A5g1ef.jpg)

Yeah, we were playing enemy during the exercise and wearing desert combats to discern ourselves from the so called blue-for. Which is ironic because they were wearing the new combats which were meant to work as both desert and woodland camo...
Anyway, yeah, I had to do a lot of work on tanks and just ****. The top is made of a material that is meant to keep you cooler than a regular shirt. Which is why I kept it on the whole time.
Bro I can smell you through the Internet when I look at that picture
Starting to stink. Developing a nice cloud of funk from staying in the house for so long.
Got me thinking, what's the longest you can remember not washing your body? A couple days? A week or so? Longer?? What were the circumstances?

LMAO, I just think about the apartments we came back to after the exercise. About 30 of us all looking and smelling the same, all having to wash three weeks of grime off. Was gross.

Too much showering is bad for your skin, AND it places an extra load on your body to replace the oils which protect you from oxidation.
You know by showering 3 times a day you are just destroying your skin's natural defenses, right? It also depends on what one defines as a 'shower'. I know that without a scrub brush my skin doesn't feel 'clean', so after any trip to India, it doesn't feel like I've taken a shower in however long I was away.
Wow, just wow. That shot of the mountains covered in snow is unreal. Was that just walking around or did you climb to get that one?22 days. I was living in Lhasa, Tibet and had pneumonia. So awesome. Yes, you definitely need to have a separate thread for your pics and the adventures behind them. And then you need to start working on that book--I'm already interested in buying a copy. :thumb:I'd def read the memoirs of hpn. Get to work!

Thx, the first one with the birds I did actually get up at 4am, walked to the Potala palace freezing my butt off, and took some shots of the moon and then the sunrise.
But the one with the mountains, I'm ashamed to say, I took in my underwear through a cracked "window". I was staying in a small shack on the roof of an apartment building in དཀར་མཛེས་རྫོང། (far northwest corner of Sichuan province). No foreigners are allowed there, but we made friends with a guy who owned one of the apartments. He snuck me and my two friends in and let us stay in the shack. It was so cold, with the wind blowing through the cracks, lol. The next morning I woke up and realized the sun was almost rising. I was missing it! I pulled back the board covering the "window" and saw that mountain peeking through the clouds. Grabbed my tripod and long lens and nailed it. According to those in the village the mountain doesn't even have a name. That's how that place is. A measly 22,000ft/6700m peak doesn't deserve a name.
One of these days I'll post some more pictures in a separate thread. Don't want to muck this one up further. We need more gross pictures of dudes with no showers!
I shower at least twice a day, if not three times. You guys are disgusting! If I lived in Malaysia like you, I would too.
two weeks on an exercise, coincidentally it was also the longest time ive been without taking a **** (7 days)
Day 9 baby! I am either getting very used to the smell or the sudden cold weather has noticeably lessened my stink.
I'll probably only be able to go up to 11 days because there's supposed to be work next week :(
You know by showering 3 times a day you are just destroying your skin's natural defenses, right?I live in the tropics where humidity is high and I sweat all the time.
And longest I have gone is probably a little over a week while camping.

You're ****ing disgusting. Maybe that's a factor as to why you don't get promotions or recruited for jobs. If you can't even bathe everyday, I have to imagine you're equally lazy in your work performance.

hey hey chill out. this thread is for revering our collective disgustingness. it's not like you have to actually smell anything. if anything you should be proud of the pioneers who pave the way breaking the social norm.

I love when people talk **** without reading what they are talking about. The Internet's a wonderful place that just wouldn't be the same without these kinds of folks.
Oh and DAY 10!! COME SNIFF MY DECREPIT CROTCH BEEHATCH! Seriously. Come over my apartment. I will rub my hands in my disgusting sweaty grundle, then I can stick them right in your face to remind you what your what your father's **** smells like.

TIL I'm a germaphobe. This thread was full of NOPE for me.
Have you ever just been too exhausted to shower? I feel that way right now. :(
So noisyturtle have not washed for 10 days despite being in his own home. What gives? Your water got cut off? I can't comprehend how someone can stand not showering at all!well sometimes you don't have much choice when it comes to how the bathroom will be if you are renting.

i know i rented this one house (down here you can rent a place for 500-600) just gotta go live in the slums near the low income areas.
anyway i rented a place there few holes in the walls (from doorknobs) that was pretty Shiite plastered over.
rest good condition but the bathroom..it was just dear god i attempted every type of stain remover and i could never get the tub clean.
When i stayed there i would only take a bath at my parents who stayed 15mins or so away.
still took me almost 3 weeks of basically doing chemical warfare to a tub to get it to shower standards.
Well what i heard from the people who lived there was that the homeless/junkies had been using the place to sleep for about 3months before the guy who brought it at auction or whatever added it to his list of rental homes they re-did the inside kinda cleaned the outside you can tell all they did was pressure wash it.So noisyturtle have not washed for 10 days despite being in his own home. What was the dirt issue? mould? bio-material? blood stains from a murder?

Being grossed out that someone with ready access to a shower wouldn't bathe for 5+ days doesn't make you a germaphobe, most people are grossed out by that

Just dropping in to say WOW that is a gorgeous view... did not expect to see something this cool in a thread about bathing (or lack thereof LOL)
Showered today. Final count and standing life record for not bathing is 11 days. You're not doing it right...lol...
Honestly I don't feel that much better now that I'm clean.
this thread has inspired me not to shower this morning
y'all weak
