There is a certain amount of culture shock the first time you use an HHKB due to the small size, lightness and slightly different layout, but once you've used it (exclusively, preferably) for a little while you'll start to really appreciate these attributes.

If you can land a set of the pure white caps from the Ducky 104UB-DK45S (https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1509) you won't need backlighting as long as there is a monitor on nearby. With lights out the legends are totally legible lit only by the glow of the monitor.

Caps Lock is key of limited use in a prime position. Sun keyboards got it right. I've been mapping Caps Lock to left Control since forever in Windows via regedit -- that's 50% more Control in the bottom left corner of my keyboard. Ever considered mapping Cmd to your Caps Lock? 50% more Cmd sounds compelling!

I refused to get an HHKB out of principle. I have 3 $100+ keycap sets on the way and invested a lot on my KUL & Pok3r. I didn't want to be "over" Cherry MX quite yet... especially by spending another $220.

Each person pays for shipping to send it to the next. It would be unfair for someone to have to ship international because of the extra money and effort required. That's why this tour was only US.

I've spent the last hour with this keyboard and I could definitely see myself using this everyday. This is most similar to my 62g Ergo-clear board, but even lighter. Very nice on your hands and fingertips and satisfying at the same time. I'll have to spend a week with it, if this is okay with the owner before sending it on it's way.
My one complaint is the lack of keyboard feet. It sorely needs some rubber friction.fs

The keyboard itself is surprisingly light. Compared to my Pok3r and KUL, it's night and day.
It's awesome to take with me to wherever I go.

You can get stick-on rubber feet, or I just use folded sheet of drawer line, like $2 at the Reject Shop for a large roll of it. Stops the keyboard sliding around and also softens the sound a bit.
