Don't worry, everyone. I've not forgotten about this! The reason my list is only 5 people was because I don't want my keyboard gone for too long, just in case something comes up and I need to sell (really hoping that won't happen).

I am happy to announce that I will be receiving another HHKB, with blanks, within a week (hopefully). I would therefore like to start a list for another five people to send this HHKB out to.

Next Monday is when I take my exam, and after that I should have a lot more free time to actually package the thing up and send it out, so let's get started!

Thanks for even doing this, btw. Just to clarify, is it a 2 months AND 200 post requirement or is it one or the other? I've been around for like 4.5 years but not posted a whole lot. If I qualify, I would definitely be interested in trying it out. This is something I've always had in the back of my mind and would love to give it a shot.

Lol, I was thinking about doing that. At the end of the tour arrange it so the last person (or someone else on the tour) buys the keyboard off me. This would be cheaper than the last person sending it to me, and then me sending it to someone else.

If that's what you have in mind, sign me up last on the blank black one as well! Lol  ;)

So stoked.

I refused to get an HHKB out of principle. I have 3 $100+ keycap sets on the way and invested a lot on my KUL & Pok3r. I didn't want to be "over" Cherry MX quite yet... especially by spending another $220.

HOWEVER, this gives me no choice :)

I can always convert a HHKB to use Novatouch thingies right? For MX keycaps?

You can. However, the spacebar fittings are by a few millimeters. This means you'll have to drill into the case to modify it and get the right spacing.

Or try to locate one of matt3o's PBT Topre space bars.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

So, all the keys will work except the space bar? What do you mean by drilling into the case? Are stock space bars too tall?

I'm a bit short on your post requirement, but I've been hanging out with the Alps crowd for about a year now.

That said, I'm ready to accept oneness with cup rubber in my heart.  :D
The Alps cover 65% of Switzerland's surface area (41,285 km²), making it one of the most alpine countries. Despite the fact that Switzerland covers only 14% of the Alps total area (192,753 km²),[2][3] many alpine four-thousanders (48 of 82) are located in the Swiss Alps and practically all of the remaining few are within 20 km of the country's border.

Instead of Ergo Dox, get two HHKB, one for each hand.

Getting hyped about trying the prestigious ::HHKB::

I was gearing up to source an Ergodox build but I need to be sure that Topre isn't a better idea =]

Instead of Ergo Dox, get two HHKB, one for each hand.

Or saw an HHKB in half!  :))

Probably not a good idea to try this with demik's HHKB!
