Man these things are really coming out of the woodwork lately.

Wow, that didn't take long... Someone got a nice deal, hope it was one of you!

Indeed, someone beat me to the punch (but I suppose that's better than punching me to the beat). So alphax3 announced this at 8 a.m.? So it was available all day, pretty much, and no one snapped it up till just now?
BTW, what's proper when you start a redundant thread like this? Is there a way to delete it?

Saw that live, but short half of it.
Wasn't that bought and relisted?

It's the curse of vague titles. "Ancient IBM iron" doesn't catch your attention, you think it's stone-age punch card stuff.
"Beam Spring" does. And away it goes

There's no "proper" way. You can lock it with a link over to the other thread, but little point in that now.

At least I've marked mine "[SOLD]"... Wouldn't that be a good board policy, so people who see items that particularly interest them don't have to spend time following useless links and being disappointed?

This behemoth sold last time for $130 shipped to a member here from the UK, but alas, he was not able to take possession of it.
-
A "hernia console" that came from a "vintage steal (sic) foundry".

$130, wow... Well, the $70 he's getting from flipping it might console him a bit.
And "Behemoth"? I thought all beamsprings were that massive. Is this a particularly big one? Would it be heavier than a Model F-122?

I believe so, though I've never held an F-122. It's a bit less heavy than my F107 which I beleive are heavier than a 122?

an F-122. It's a bit less heavy than my F107 which I beleive are heavier than a 122?
They're pretty close. I suspect the 122 is heavier.

Chyrosran22 did a review on a F122 — close to 4 kg. My 3101 is around 14 lb. or 6.3 kg, and this one looks even more massive. I wonder what boxes these keyboard must have come with.

My F-122s weighed in around 8.25 lb / 3.75kg, but I have not weighed my F-107. Even though the case is "metal" it is really rather lightweight.
But yes, those beam springs are ponderous.

****, can't believe I missed a beamspring at $200 :(

When you're talking something that's inherently cool, "ponderous" is good, as it implies there's more of it.
