As we are moving towards GB open on Saturday, please feel free to discuss in the GB post as well. Thank you all, it's been amazing so far.

Did the build video ever come through? Any chance of it making it on youtube for a more English friendly site?

I'm still so on the fence. Wavez green... or one of the PCs. I know you said for new comers it's probably recommended to get a alu case (I appreciate the info and suggestions, btw), and part of me wants that so it will look great with my wavez keycaps coming. But another part of me knows I can find plenty of alu cases.

I know I don't want anything "hollow" or "pingy" sounding. Have you had any tests on an alu build?

I take it the alu case is integrated with a 4.5mm alu plate? Not alu case with 4.5mm PC plate?

Something about that thick PC plate sounded like a nice typing experience that has a bit of give, but still feels solid. Your original description still has me captivated. Oof. This is hard. You've done your job well!

Alu proto is still in the factory. You will see the gears in brass. The lightbulb will be CNC engraved

Some sound tests, light visual effects, and scratch tests for PC: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=100166.msg2747107#msg2747107

PC is not for the faint-hearted, it will leave a trace if you scratch it against aluminum or even plastic. Take that into account when you make the purchase!

Let me know what else you want to know, super busy this week but I will do my best to record more videos.

For those of you confused about the lighting sources. There has been a few improvements:

1. 4XRGB on ESC stays as is, it uses the same channel as underglow
2. Underglow increased from 1 row of 8 to two rows of 7 each (14 total)
3. The light strip diffuser part, 3 hotswap LEDs will be separately controllable (from underglow) as you activate/deactivate a backlighting layer. So you will be able to turn the light on and off without pushing the capslock key. In the prototype, it is a indicator light but I realized how little I actually use capslock. Never used other indicator keys.

Is the black PC more scratch resistant than clear PC?

Would it be a good idea to lock the IC thread and consolidate communication into the GB thread?

I did tests, perhaps by a little bit. Using non-metal scratches are not obvious in either clear or black.

This GB has already started (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=100166) and this thread should be locked to keep discussion all in one place. GLWS!

Just filled out the form! Frosted PC.

What stabs will I need for this (size, quantity, etc.)?

Please ask this in the GB thread.

@oldcat, do you have the ability to lock this thread as the OP?
