You have pictures of the Pantone chips?
You can't see accurate colors from a photo displayed on a monitor. Even if the monitor is calibrated, various light sources completely change appearance, and the shape/texture of the keycaps have an impact as well.
Exactly, that's why I would like to see pictures of the chips in a real environment (with colors in background that I can compare these chips to as to grasp what this might look like in reality).
And in my opinion it is much better than just having renders that might be much more far off reality. Like Cylent mentioned.

Don't think shape would have a big if any impact.
As for texture, most plastic chips have one side with rough and one with smooth texture.
And as for light, sunlight should be quite standardised around the globe.
And it should really just be enough having something else in picture which I can refer to to see how much saturation, contrast etc is in the picture.
But really just having the color chips next to each other helps a lot already imho. I suppose it helps, I mean at least a bunch of designers post their color chips next to each other.
