Overview“Why are weights so prettily designed when they’ll just be hidden away?” Once all is set on a desk, the only things that remain are the board’s basic shape and, sometimes, a badge. It is a shame, though–there are truly beautiful weight designs out there.
All those illustrations, designs, and pretty geometric patterns are rarely brought into the spotlight. A board capable of doing this, conceptually, was the vision for the Marigold60.
ImagesLanguage and letters, being the essence behind keyboards, inspired a typography-based design.
(Please note that the letters will have slightly rounded corners on the actual keyboard–sharp corners as seen in the renders are impossible to machine.)
Because of the side weights, there is some complexity to the assembly process. Below is an exploded diagram:

Before committing to a prototype, I wanted first to gauge community feedback on the concept. There are no set timelines, and the time for prototype construction will depend on the feedback I get.
During the prototyping process, I will also make sure the design is feasible.
