First off welcome, but you're not going to get off that eazy...  Give us some background of they keyboards you have used/liked in the past, do you have a preference for "gimmicky" additions like led backlighting, macro keys etc., how much are you willing to spend?  Have you looked at any boards and formed an informed opionon on any of them?

Help us help you!!

I like small keyboards... i feel more comfortable when my arms are not forming a V-squadron position ! ^^

So for me the6gv2 is a no no; its way too large. I would go for a tenkeyless type of keyboard (HHkb2 on the way so I cant say much about the feel of the topre keys yet). I'll let you know as soon as I receive it. For a less expensive tenkeyless keyboard, the problem for me was the fact that I live in America and i couldnt find what i was searching for on THe Keyboard Co's webiste nor elitekeyboards.com.

Why not telling us more about your style of typing, precision even words per minute lol

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the "use the search feature" reply.  There is a lot of data here to sift through, and if you don't know what you are searching for, the task is even more daunting.  Directing folks to the wiki is a good idea, however.  At least it'll give folks some direction in what they are looking for.

Rajagra has turned into Agrajag. Now he's got more important things to do.

Okay.  Good start.  You have narrowed it down to a full size 104 key mech board with no "gimmicky" stuff.  If you think you want a board with the MX blue switch, ripster made a good recommendation with the rosewill rk9000.  If you want a Filco you will have to buy used or order from Asia.

@OP  Some people like blues for gaming, but I think these are mostly people who are already used to / already own  blue boards.

For stricktly gaming purposes I would recommend one of the following switch types depending on your preference:  MX Brown, MX Black, MX Red, Topre

Each one is unique in its own way and provides different feels when pressed.  Ultimately you will have to decide what is "best" for you.

I could be wrong but I think DAS offerers multiple choices of MX switches in their boards.  From what I have read, they are built with quality and should be a fine board for gaming if you find the right switch for you.

I must say the number of these threads is alarming. At least do a bit of research in the Wiki to see what the options are before asking "Hey, guys, can you, like, you know, recommend a keyboard for doing, like, things and stuff with? Would be great, k thx"

That aside, the RK-9000 is a great option. The blues work great despite the "OMG DOUBLE TAP NO WORK!!!11" OCN mindset (hint, it works fine). Otherwise, the 6Gv2 isn't a bad option if you think you'll like the Black switches, and the Razer Black Widow seems to be a decent value, though it has bling (omfg 5 macro keys NOOO)

I would eliminate the razor from any real gaming keyboard talk simply on the fact it is 2kro. To me that is unacceptable for a self proclaimed "gaming" keyboard.

Though the matrix is optimized for common gaming key combos. At $70, it is quite a bit less than importing an NKRO Filco for $150 from Army Group.

You are correct about that sir.  Just wanted to point that out to the OP who probably doesnt know the in-n-outs of most of the popular boards like we do.  I am not exactly sure what Razer considers "common" gaming key combos, but having played cs at a pretty high level, I can say almost no one uses default .config files.  Do you know if Razor has released a chart of what they consider "common gaming key combos"?  For example even if using the default .config it is very easy to be pushing w (run forward), a (strafe left), space bar (jump), holding cntl (crouch) and pushing 4 (pull out a nade) all simultaniously.  If any one of those strokes doesnt register, you can be dead.

No serious gamer wants to even take that chance or be limited to what razor considers "common gaming key combos".

Most gamers also are not willing to drop $200+ on an HHKB and then pic up some other keyboards for testing as well. Cost is a serious issue for most people.

That aside, there are a few reviews of the Razer BW boards posted, and one does go over the variety of combinations that typically fail on a standard keyboard, and it apparently passed them all. I wasn't going by Razer's marketing flim-flam.

I'm quite new to mechanical keyboards but I picked up a Filco Majestouch w/ MX Brown switches and it's quite nice for SC2. The only other keyboard type I have had are rubber dome cheapos so don't really have any comparisons to offer.
