Whats The Best Keyboard Around $200?

I Im just looking for a new keyboard under and around $200 bucks. IF the keybaord is under $200 By 40 bucks then I will by keycaps as well.

Anu suggestions on a keyboard?


My current  keybaord is a pok3r with cherry mx clears and blank beige keycaps.

If you wanted to stick to the same 60% size you could try a HHKB Pro 2. No need to buy an extra set of keycaps, although it does open up a world of Topre artisan choices.. I'm recommending a HHKP because you're not giving us much info to work with.

Are you going to use the keyboard for gaming? Do you want a keyboard with more keys (tkl, full-sized, etc.)? Would you want to try Cherry MX type switches like Greetech, Kailh, or Gateron?

But seriously, RF 87U is also a good option. It might be more expensive than a HHKB, but it would be different from your Pok3r so there's the plus side

in all seriousness @Brannan, it probably helps to mention what your 'demands' are, and what you'll be using the keyboard for.
as much i enjoy the RF, i don't use it for gaming. for gaming i usually use cherry mx reds or 45g topre (hhkb), not only because of the switches but because 60% is a must for me when i play games.

I'm not qualified to comment on either Matias or ergo, but you may want to take a look at this. It's 70%-kinda quiet clicky ergo board that can be split in half, with a column of extra keys that are actually useful (in editing), and a wrist rest.
