To take Browns out of a cheap Adesso and put them into my filco if i like them?
I'm thinking about getting browns to try now but I don't think that I'd want to get another filco because of how expensive they are.

I've heard of people modding keyboards, is what they mean?

That depends, how good are you with a soldering iron?

You don't need a soldering iron, you can just pop the tops off the switch and swap the stems/springs.

There should be a Wiki entry on that, just look for it.

Yes you do need a soldering iron. The flico is plate mounted so you need to de-solder each switch in order to open it.

I've de-soldered all the 104 switches from a G80-3000 mx blue with 4 solder points each. Then, I've opened each of them to remove the useless wire in the diode cavity and swap some of the stem for a cherry clear stem. All in all, desoldering 104 switches, opening 167 switches and reassemble the switches (not on the keyboard) took around 4 hours.

I do have some previous soldering experience but the most important thing is to get a good technique/position to remove the switches and just keep on going. I got to say that the hardest part for me was my left thumb getting tired from pumping the de-soldering pump. It may seem kinda weak but pumping that thing over 400 times isn't an easy task.

The jumpers are indeed harder to remove. I use a pump that look a lot like this one:

Alright, I guess it's not gonna happen!
Well anyway, something random just started happening, I'm realizing when i hit my enter key, i can hear a metal "ding" noise echo about the board.
I can get this noise to happen when i tap on the board near the enter key as well.

Spring ping.

Fix by adding lead to the keyboard (probably my craziest mod) or sticking on a mousemat like the Xtrac SuperXXL.

I wouldn't mind adding this kind of lead to my XArmor.
