Hi folks,

This is my first post and I must say this forum has been most helpful to me. So thanks to you guys!

I recently bought my first mech KB, a Noppoo choc mini with reds and I'm very happy with it. However, there are a couple of issues I would like some help with. The main being that the right side of the space bar has an annoying rattle (left side of the space is rock solid). I use my right thumb for the space and so I'm making a lot of noise! Now, given that I have never so much as removed a single keycap in my life, I am really afraid  I would damage the space bar if I try to fix it. So.....has anyone got this problem with their choc mini? And can you give me a step by step guide on how to fix it?

Thanks in advance! (I know you guys won't let me down!)

Yes you probably need to remove the space bar and put some lube on the stabilizers.  The space bar is secured in three places: in the middle with a switch, and on either end with a stabilizer.  You can pull up gently on each of these areas to pop it upward.  Note, even after you initially pop it off, it won't come off completely.  If you peek underneath you'll see the stabilizers have little hooks that go through loops on either end.  You need to use a paper clip or a small pair of pliers to gently get the stabilizer out of the loop on each end, then the space bar will come off completely.  The ideal lube for these stabilizers is white lithium grease, it's fairly easy to find.

Where exactly on the stabilizers do I put the grease, and how much grease should I use?
