Filco doesn't like my USB hub?

My Filco with browns starts flashing the leds when I stick it to my close USB hub (active so the power shouldn't be an issue). The OS gets the board only to disconnect it immediately. It then loops until I unplug it. When plugged bypassing the hub, things work as expected.

Is there something I can do to this? Every gadget that accepts the hub is one less cord to run over the room (my PC is a few feet away in the closet).

Different hub?  I had to switch hubs when I got my Filco, but it turns out the hub I was using was crapping out anyhow.  The hub was very hot when I had it plugged in and a quick file transfer test showed that it wasn't just keyboards that it didn't like.  Data rates were very slow from all the re-transmits going on.  The keyboard symptom was random extra key strokes while typing.

or plug your keyboard straight into the PC and your other devices into the hub.

Yeah, I'd have tried if I had an extra one. The hub is a cheapo "i-rocks" but it works well with the other USB equipment.

Hubs will occasionally lead to weird issues. I had a hub that would always BSOD the computer if I plug a WiFi adapter into it.
