Yep. it is because of the mold. I need to re make the mold. The keycaps can sit on the keyboard but may loose easily. I'm using polyester at the moment, but seeking for another material, polyester doesn't give a good finish.

Polyester resin is also highly toxic and dangerous to work with. Are you doing it outside with a filtered mask? I hope so >.<

Looks nice though. Have you tried it on a switch with an LED? Might wanna make sure it clears the LED.

Epoxy resin works well, and comes in clears.

Thanks for your warning. I almost don't know that >.<. Luckily, it's just my first try. Is it still toxic after cured? I don't have a led keyboard, so can't tell you about its transparency, but I think it does not let the light through much.

It's not still toxic when it's cured, but the fumes are dangerous when you are mixing the resin with the catalyst. Don't kill your brain cells my friend.

Try epoxy resin. It's still toxic, but not as bad. And definitely work outside, with a painters mask. :)

http://www.****blick.com/products/artmolds-aquaclear-resin/

"Unlike polyester resins, (which are extremely toxic and require the use of a NIOSH mask), AquaClear has little or no odor. Set time: 15–20 minutes."

Looks so thick, the switch housing will just barely miss the side of the keycap wall. (excellent!)

Good work: I hope you get your mould working, 'cause that'd look killer with or without an LED underneath.
