Hi everyone, I'm new here, so hopefully I managed to find the right place to post

Anyways, I'm looking to buy a TenKeyLess keyboard that has MX Blue Switches, and my budget is 150$.
I've heard about the Poker II and CM Storm Quickfire TK or Rapid, but I'm really not sure what to go with.
I'd like the base of the keyboard (I think thats what it's called) White, and have the keycaps be white and electric blue, sorta like this:

But I'd like to add a few more white keycaps. So, would this be possible for me to do with a Budget of 150$?

Thanks,
GunsAreOP (Austin)

OOh, a \kl SP PBT set! Very uncommon.

(image link fixed)

Ducky have some with blue keycaps, (for about $140, but they were fullsize. I think you can get the caps separately) and you can get some very nice blue ones like that from imsto as well.

That set originally cost about $110, so hard to do it exactly like that and stay in budget. tricolour clack nonwithstanding.

Do you use the arrows, edit keys and F keys a lot? If so, then TKL is the right size for you. If you can live with the F keys, arrows and edit keys being on a Fn layer, then go for the 60% (Poker II), since it saves more desk space, allows the mouse to be closer to the typing area and looks way cooler :)

The Keycool 87 is a TKL that came in white with white caps, but it's hard to find the one with genuine Cherry MX Blues for sale now, they switched to using Kailh "clone" switches.

The Leopold FC700R is also a TKL that comes in white with Blue switches.

The Poker II comes in white, too.

You might like these doubleshot white on blue ABS caps from Taihao, but I'm not sure if the blue is exactly the one you want:

They will be available in the Taihao Group Buy when it reaches the next stage I think: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=58110.0

If you don't find the info you want in that thread you could PM GhostofHarry.

Other options would be more expensive, but there are some nice sets of blue / white caps out there. IMSTO sells some thick PBT blue caps like these for instance: http://imsto.cn/index.php?route=product/product&path=62&product_id=61
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

Thanks for the response everyone. I think I'm going to go with the Poker II in white, found a decent price here: http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=924

And for Keycaps, do these look okay? I don't know a lot about them just want to check with you guys if they're quality.

You get what you pay for when it comes to those keycaps. And those Rosewills are much darker blue than the image above.

All in all, it'll be a very nice setup within your budget.
My wife I a also push her button . But now she have her button push by a different men. So I buy a keyboard a mechanicale, she a reliable like a Fiat.

From what I can tell, those are all doubleshot ABS made by Taihao, same as the ones I linked to, only the 2 you linked to are darker blue.

They'll look fine on a Poker II, the only downside being that the original caps on the Poker II are better quality (thick PBT). I would suggest just buying the Poker II for now and getting keycaps after a while.

If the colour scheme of this set appeals to you, there will be a Group Buy starting soon for very high quality version:

Bunnylake will be running a GMK Hyperfuse Group Buy soon :D

There is also an interest check at the moment for a black / dark grey and electric blue SA profile (tall, old skool terminal keyboard profile) set on PMK: http://www.pimpmykeyboard.com/deals/pulse-keyset/

IMHO, the Poker II deserves great keycaps. The stock ones are already really good, so replacing them with something lower quality feels wrong.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I just may have to participate in that Group buy :P

I ended up buying the Poker II with Cherry MX Blues in complete white (I think I will like them better than the mx red ones based on what I've read) and this is where I bought it:
http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=924

I also saw some really cool cables people had that I thought I'd get since I still have 40$'s of budget left, but I'm willing to spend a little more if I have to on key caps. So I think I want blank key caps, but with the letter on the front of the cap if you know what I mean. Like on the Happy Hacking Professional Keyboard 2.

Could someone point me in the direction of the keycaps this awesome guy used for his blue keys: http://puu.sh/baVJ1/4da5c8f1c4.jpg
And this guy: http://puu.sh/baVN5/fb2253af84.jpeg

And which theme did you guys like better of the two pics above?

Thanks,
- Guns

The light blue ones look decent, but their not named on the picture so I don't want to guess and buy the wrong set, which one are these listed as in the drop down menu? And will they have all the keys for a Poker II?

EDIT: And where could I find one of those bungee mini usb cables for my keyboard? Hopefully one that matches the blue caps :P

Congratulations on purchasing the Poker!

I found these, most likely also made by Taihao:

https://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=access,cherrymxkeys&pid=dmx_us104_blu_np

And I believe the second picture you posted has the Raindrop set (DCS profile doubleshot ABS made by Specialist Plastics) with white mods on, from this Group Buy: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=40520.0

I noticed in this thread (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=52475.0) that Bunny may have some spare sets left over from the 2nd round of Raindrop, so shoot him a PM. They came with matching cable, so he may just have some of those, too.

You may be interested in the Pulse, Lunar or Blueberry Cheesecake sets that are currently in Interest Check stage at PimpMyKeyboard: http://www.pimpmykeyboard.com/suggested/deals/

Keycap sets are fun... But it can get expensive when you get hooked like me.

HUH?

Isn't hyperfuse long over? I have lots of hyperfuse in my crap bags.
Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

Those are Signature Plastics DCS or DSA profile HyperFuse.

Bunny will be doing a Group Buy for GMK Cherry profile HyperFuse soon. Top quality caps, much thicker than SP DCS profile.

Thanks everyone (I'm typing on the Poker II for the first time :P and  I really like it), I really like the Raindrop set and I will be sending Bunny an email! I noticed how some keyboards have some really cool quotes on the spacebars, are those kinda spacebars for sale? I checked everywhere. Maybe they're custom?

I'd go with a TKL Ducky if I were you, you can get it blue backlight, easy to find nice keycap replacements. Not sure if it's in your price range though, I think it might just be..
