Are they worth $30? If I'm wearing them in my basement, I could care less what I look like.

i say $30-40 is a fair price for these. i spent $110 on my current ones and i think i paid too much for what they are

really only reason to get them is if you have eye strain a lot, maybe find yourself putting in eye drops with no relief.

I'd say they're worth at least $30. I wouldn't pay MSRP for them though.

I'm pretty happy with the Gunnar Paralex (http://shop.gunnars.com/paralex/d/1040_c_200) that I got for $60.

Yea they are worth $30-40. When you're up all day and night staring at a computer and your eyes hurt, I find they do alleviate some pain. And heck, make you look like a baller! :p

I think what they are best for is blocking blue light that is similar to sunlight. Blocking this light allows you to get tired at a normal time instead of your brain thinking it is day time still and staying up late into the night. I've noticed that nights where I come home and read a book, or do something off of the computer I get tired at normal times and can get to sleep. If I jump on the PC and just browse the internet I can stay up until 3-5am instead of getting tired around midnight. I have read a couple studies about this but didn't want to pay $100+ to see if it is legit. Maybe for $30-40 I could try it out.

kind of regretting not getting my second pair from this deal, everything is sold out at this moment except for the "wing" model, which looks a bit feminine unless someone disagrees lol

They do have prescription ones if you are really interested, they're usually in the 200-350 range IIRC.
