Looking for a 7 unit stabilizer wire
« on: Fri, 15 February 2013, 03:52:22 »
Does anyone have one spare that I could buy?

My phantom has a red alert key set, but it's forced to wear a space bar from round three.  Just one stabilizer wire would make a difference to this poor phantom.   A 7 unit wire would mean that it could wear the space bar that it needs to hold it's head high.

Please make a difference.

I'm going to need to bend my own also.  I just hope I can find the appropriate wire at a HomeDepot-type place.

I'll see if I can bend you one.  A simple cherry wire takes me 10-15min to measure, bend, clip, and test fitting (and adjust if needed). Costar needs a lot more bends.

What board is this for? I don't recall any costar-style boards that use 7x wires.

Hobby Lobby or music stores. It's something like 13/64th's or 7/32's wire or similar. I remember Alaric posting it somewhere in the Phantom stuff.

Edit: Look below, my post was totally wrong.

Cherry is 1/16
Costar is 3/64

Altho... I still don't have a caliper yet.  That's by eye with a precision scale.

I hate piggy backing on a thread, but I too need at least one of each, but I would prefer two of each. If anyone is doing this and wants to make a little cash; get in touch :).
