Dolch coffee and cream set
« on: Tue, 22 January 2013, 17:18:44 »
I would LOVE to see a nice off white cream base set with dark brown roast modifiers and white/black/caramel legends. I have no idea how to make this happen, but I can't be the only one.

That would look good. Makes me want coffee just thinking about it.

Cream cheese and coffee?

Ok now I need a bagel.....

I feel like this set is very similar to the coffee n cream set proposed in the upcoming GMK buys. Which I voted as my second most wanted set. I suppose every set should have switched colours on modifiers as an option, that would be pretty swag.

I would like to see more brown themes, considering how many desks (eg mine) are either actual wood or fake wood, it seems appropriate.
Citizens United violates the essence of what made America a great country in its political system. Now it’s just an oligarchy, with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or to elect the president.
So now we’ve just seen a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect and sometimes get favors for themselves after the election’s over.”

my desk is fake wood coated in a layer of fake black paint.

I'm so poor.

EDIT: Oh, right, keycaps. yeah that would look good man!

Everyone who even remotely wants this idea must go and vote for coffee on cream in the GMK group buy. Do it now!

You could get SP made set from keypop. It is as close as you are likely to get for quite awhile.

I just got this set today. Needless to say I've been drinking coffee ever since.

For what it's worth, those pictures on the KeyPop website are a disaster and don't do justice to the keys.  I ordered a set which arrived today, and it looks much nicer than I anticipated.  The dark modifiers are actually a bit lighter, like milk chocolate, and the light keys are a nice creamy color as opposed to that weird white.  I don't have a decent camera, but I'm sure somebody will post one soon since they are shipped.

That looks much better! However, this would still be a million times better in thick cherry font as the coffee colour for the alpha legends would then be properly viewable.

So buy a couple hundred sets so it'll hit MoQ :P

That said, $95 for a tkl SP kit seems...steep.

It is, but I was willing to pay more to not have to deal with the risk and months of waiting time associated with group buys.
