Ducky plate WANTED
« on: Thu, 09 May 2013, 14:04:06 »
Hello all! I am looking for a universal plate or a plate that would fit a ducky 9008s keyboard. I would like to make the switch removable with out having to desolder or solder for every mod I want to do since its a full led board. Please sell me one or perhaps guide me to where I can get such a thing! Thank you much!

I'm not sure if this even exists but if it does I'd also be very interested.

There isn't a plate with custom switch holes for full size boards yet.

There has been no 104 plate cut that supports removable switch tops

I wonder how popular this would even be if it actually existed. It seems the majority of people here like TKL. I personally like fullsize as much as I like TKL and other subcompact form factors.

Being a novice in keyboard I bought a ducky as my first mechanical keyboard. I wanted a full keyboard due to work purposes I use the number pad a lot. I didn't know how much pain it is to modify it with a full led keyboard at that time.

I love the keyboard but the feel of the keyboard is not as nice as my poker that is lubed and stickered. Since there is no full size plate made is there a universal plate that would just fit the ten keyless?

The Universal TKL plate might fit. You could probably cut your original plate of the length of the TKL portion, and leave the numpad part intact, replacing what you cut with the UTKL plate. No guarantees though.

I was thinking this too.

Desoldering LED's is sooooooo annoying.

So how many of us would it take to get a full size plate made up to allow for switch top removal? I'm in the same boat with a ducky full size board.

If there were 10-50 people interested the price would probably be reasonable.

There are a few people who could design the plate. Would just need to know how the plate mounts on the Ducky and would also need precise measurements. Of course it would get more complicated if you were doing a 'universal' plate.

I would be interested depending on the price. I wouldn't bother desoldering my Shine II bc of all those LED's but wouldn't mind desoldering my DK9008.

Possible for me to create one? Do you need the dimensions? What exactly is needed?

You could always just take a dremel tool to the stock plate? Lol! I jest.

Yes ray that's the base design. You'd just need to add whatever the ducky uses to mount its plate.

Haha I tend to go on a dremel frenzy. I might not have a keyboard by the time I finish :P

Thumbs up if you are! Let me know if any one is in and want help to create such a thing. I'm down to make this happen!
