Realforce Numpad
« on: Tue, 28 May 2013, 14:57:13 »
Hi all,

I am very close to ordering one of these :D I do have a question about replacing the caps.

The Numpad has three 1x1 caps along the bottom:

All of the keycap sets seem to have a long 0 cap as per the standard Topre boards:

Is this the case? Or is there an extra cap with the blank keycap sets that EK sells?

Thanks!

You're not also worried about the top four caps being different as well?

Well if my first topre board gets me hooked I'll either need one of these and/or a full size board

I don't want it to look like an arcade machine :)

I might just sand down the caps so that they are blank.

Just realised that the replacement cap sets do come with those four caps.

Which four caps are we talking about now? The top ones or the bottom ones? I've been thinking of getting a RF keypad, since there doesn't seem to be one perfect MX one. Perhaps I should look into ALPS before Topre, price wise.

Where? Also, if anything, you could just buy a blank set and use whichever caps you wanted wherever you wanted them.

Gotcha. Where are you planning on sourcing such a beast. EK doesn't have them anymore. Secondhand?
