Noppo Choc Mid 87 MX BLUE
« on: Sat, 25 May 2013, 14:51:17 »
Hey guys,

I'm new here. Tried to research this keyboard over the past 24 hours but it seems to be a phantom. The only thing I was able to find was a review in Vietnamese, which I could roughly translate with Google translate, the information I get out of it is just not really... well, informative :D.

Now I was wondering, does by chance any of you guys use this keyboard, or has seen a review on it.
It looks nice to me, and the price seems fair. But since there are so many threads around with people complaining about the Choc Mini I wanted to try to get a little bit more info on this board.

Also, since I'm already here, can you guys tell me if there is a good possibility to get custom PBT key-caps, like on wasdkeyboards.com the costumization possibilities are AWESOME, you just can't choose between ABS and PBT :(

Thanks for reading and appreciate your help very much.

Oliver

@ Master: and what am I exactly supposed to find? Another thread where people just post how they don't know anything about that keyboard? Enlighten me please.

@Mauri: I know a lot of vendors on the net, what I'm looking for is one LIKE wasdkeyboard, that hast all the options you have there BUT offers PBT keycaps, wasd only offers ABS.

I remember looking for reviews on it recently too.  Didn't find much, but there are reviews here and there, like on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Noppoo-Mechanical-Keyboard-switches-Character/product-reviews/B00A3PPJKS/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1
Noppoo doesn't have stock PBT caps on that model as far as I know.

For stock PBT at similar price range and TKL size, I would go with Keycool 87:

http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=383
(White comes with PBT caps)

Or a Leopold FC700R (thick PBT) if you have access to it--but that will be more expensive.

I guess you're meaning the custom key cap thingy that lets you choose every cap individually. In that aspect wasdkeyboards, as far as I know is the only one.

You didn't think this would be easy did you : D

No custom lasering solution for PBT yet. WASD can't figure out a supplier. Asian board makers have lots with pre-installed PBTs... and then there's dyesub groupbuys here but you won't get those sets overnight.

You're not going to find WASD-level customization. They're pretty unique in that regard.
