Kbt race I vs Poker 2

I know the rAce has backlit whereas the poker doesn't. But I also did some research and realized you can just solder the LEDs on.

So what do you recommend? No need to compare the price as I can get them at the same prices.

I have the Poker II and I like it a lot. I find that the Race has a weird layout for me. Reminds me of the lightsaver since all the keys are so close together. Also if you want Backlighting you can just add your own LEDs or there are some purchasing options that already have leds inside.

I was weighing the same two keyboards for a time, I realised that I just am too much in love with my larger shift keys haha

A lot of people here will tell you to get the Poker, it's one of the favourites in the community.

Are you comfortable accessing arrow keys through the function layer? Would you miss the function keys? Do you have any interest in aftermarket keycaps? If you're comfortable with the tradeoffs inherent in the 60% Poker form factor, that's definitely my recommendation as it has a lot more customizability than the race.

If you need the function keys, or aren't comfortable with function layer arrow keys, the race is a better choice. Of the two, my personal decision would be for the Poker, but I'd be considering a FC660C/M as well -- don't know if that's an option for you.

Another factor you may want to consider is the switch options you have with each board.

The Poker 2 with ABS keycaps comes with LEDs. :)

P.S. decide on which layout you want, then you'll have your answer.

Does anyone have both keyboards? So that i can have a look at them side by side? Im fine with both layouts, but the race looks weird. So i want to compare them side by side. Thanks.

I think it would be better for you to compare the Poker with the Pure.

Edit: Actually, that's a bad comparison. I personally would go with a 60% with an arrow cluster.
