ghetto brown ?
« on: Mon, 04 November 2013, 14:47:20 »
Is it so stupid the idea to take a poker 2 with browns switches and put inside 80g springs?
I have a CM Stealth with blue switches and i'd like to have a quite smaller keyboard with a more solid feel .

Thank you

Dan

We could call those Ghetto Clears. They might feel linear though. But its not stupid if it works for you.

From my notes here, the heavier springs paired with Browns felt linear like you said moose. But I also agree, if you like the switch, use it.

I can echo the sentiment of wanting a "more solid feel," having played with my QFS with Greens over the past few days. Definitely not stupid to try something out to see if it will work for you.

Great post ! That is what i was looking for .

So it's seem better getting a poker with black switches if brown feels almost linears.

Thank you .I'll try plane browns . i didn't know that if caps are plate mounted you have to desolder them .
I think in the future i'll buy a pcb and spares switches to play with
