My Pimped Cherry G80-3000
« on: Wed, 20 November 2013, 14:53:21 »

I finally got this project not only working, but written up somewhat on my website... I think this may be unique, though probably for good reason...

Wait, didn't you do this on another keyboard as well? I swear I've seen this elsewhere.

Regardless, that's awesome

You have seen one of the early tests of this keyboard. At that point I had not yet installed the capacitive sensing or RFID features

YES, It was you!!. That is amazing that you followed through and improved the design! :D

Also on a slightly off-topic note. I click on the link under your profile to go to your website. Your link doesn't work. It points to:

And I think it needs to point to:

But what switches does it have??

Cherry Blues... Seems to be the only choice for this keyboard and a UK layout

Just the terminal M you restored ;)

But seriously....I distinctly remember someone posting a model F with feet that actuated, because they had the gray tabs that stuck out on the sides.

Well it is PCB Mount so easy enough to swap stems/springs  :thumb:

Yep I have been looking at the thread where you can make ghetto blues by gluing the two part stem together.  I am not that keen on the noise.  The click is two high pitched, I prefer my Filco with browns over the Cherry with blues.

The Model M has a better sound altogether!

You mean jailhouse blues? You can also use an oring or small piece of plastic.
