Whats a Good Cheap Mic?

I need a standalone mic. ****ty headset mic doesn't cut it. Sub $20 would be ideal? Anybody have any favorites?

I have Logitech one that's served me well for a couple years. I use it often for recording voice-overs and foley effects for games and it has great sensitivity. I think it was like $30 something though, but it was worth it.

I pulled the mic out of a telephone. put it in a plastic tube left over from soldering. soldered on wire from broken headphones. wrapped an aircon filter around it for a dead cat (which it desperately needed.) total cost was under 5 bucks. mad decent quality for what it is imo.

I have one of these:  http://www.amazon.com/Cyber-Acoustics-ACM-1b-Monitor-MicrophoneLapel/dp/B0000511GQ/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_20.  Good little mic for $6.  I used to have it mounted on the top edge of my monitor, but the double sided tape is long gone, so now it just sits under the front edge of my monitor.  Works perfectly and everyone I game with can hear me loud and clear.

Zalman does not suck. It has quite good clarity for a lil' plastic piece of **** and will go along with a good pair of headphones. If the clip doesn't fit to the cable, maybe it'll fit to your collar? I end up doing that a lot.

Dynex makes really good standalone microphones, I got one for less than 15$ with shipping on eBay.
