Tier lists in general are dumb and that list is either dumber than most or just made to rile people up.

Isn't the DeathAdder just a Razer branded Intellimouse explorer 3.0?

No, that's an absolutely ridiculous list.
All these tier lists are terrible and biased but that's just dumb.
Just pick a mouse that conforms to your hand-shape and has a good sensor.

If you must absolutely have a tier list for the sake of having one then you should remove most of the laser sensors off that list.

That tier list looks about right to me.  But I'm judging from a gaming perspective.  Since, to my mind, for scrolling and clicking, nearly any mouse will do.

The only change I would make is to bump the Logitech MX518 up to G*d Tier.  The MX518 has been pwning nubs and scrubs since 2004, and it's still going strong.  It's undeniably one of the best gaming mice ever made.  However, it gets overlooked or downgraded in lists like this because it's optical, not laser tech.  But with it's length of service and number of Gaming championships won, it should probably be listed as #1.  I switched over to the laser G500, but I can't really say it's a better mouse.

That's my opinion, of course.

Yeah, the DA is basically the IME 3.0 with the flared Razer mousebuttons at the front. Other than that the shape is pretty much the same.

Although the G700 has some decent features, it's a mouse I really wouldn't use for competitive gaming. I'd consider it either decent or good.

The G9x on the other hand has surely one of the best, if not the best, shapes when it comes down to Fingertip/Claw grips, but besides that its internals are a horrible mess. The most unresponsive and stiff middle button I've ever used and extremely low quality membrane switches for both the DPI and side buttons, plus that Logitech scroll wheel I hate so much which lacks any accuracy to be used on games.

And finding the CM Storm Sentinel "decent" is a bad joke. That mouse is just plain garbage.

Needless to say, Deathadder on the decent tier?  :-X

Idiotic. G500 on best tier and Zowie at the bottom? That's almost...offensive.

No, the Mamba is actually placed correctly on that list. It's a heavier, less reliable and more expensive version of the Deathadder with a ****ty sensor. Getting the Mamba when you could get a DA is just dumb, I should know because I own a Mamba.

Top list is pretty dumb.

List posted by the1onewolf is much better. Although I'll add that the Deathadder build quality should disqualify it.

My death adder has held up for years. The top left/right clicks are slightly worn but the side buttons are still oh so crisp

What are you basing your judgement off, the old Mamba, or the Mamba 4G? The dual sensor (laser and optical) has worked 100% flawlessly for me with my 4G. Also the ability to use it wired OR wireless is a huge benefit (zero drag when using it wireless)

Not so dumb afterall.

If you absolutely need a wireless DA, sure, but there are better options for wireless mice(although this really depends on how you want to charge it).
The 4G sensor isn't as bad as the PTE, but it's still not as good as the normal DA sensor.

And they use a custom battery, meaning you can't upgrade them yourself and keep spares for swapping. Although I'll admit that the battery doesn't mess with weight distribution as much as it does on something like the G700s.

edit:
Don't get me wrong; the Mamba probably works just fine and doesn't give you any trouble, and it's ok to like it, but there are a number of reasons why it's not a very good mouse and a bad purchase.
That shouldn't stop you though. One of my all-time favourite mice is the RAT7, which is probably even worse than the Mamba, and I can't in good faith recommend it to people off the bat. I still love it, and it's still one of my favourites and I don't regret getting it at all.

I wouldn't say it was a bad purchase. Its wireless with the option of using it wired, it's fairly ergonomic, it looks great & the 4G sensor is incredibly accurate.

You could do a lot worse in my opinion :p

These kind of lists are not a great idea in general, since the images keep reappearing for years long after they have been outdated. But the problem here is that this list is ridiculous. Whomever made it clearly has no idea of how sensors of different mice perform, and some of the common issues that we see in sensor performance . Either that or someone made it as an attempt to troll (I do believe it is the latter).

Also, ranking them this way in tiers completely ignores some of the specific qualities and flaws some mice have. Not to mention aspects like form factor, coating material, and a lot of other things that can be an important aspect to the user. Some of the mice on lists like this are in different tiers, while having the same sensors each implemented slightly differently with their own pros and cons. Who is to say that having no jitter at higher DPI is better than having a lower lift of distance, or having a higher max tracking speed is preferable to not having any excessive amounts of smoothing. Those are things that are largely subjective or their importance is based on the way someone uses the mouse.

If you want a starting point for mice that perform well, at least sensor wise, I suggest you check out my thread here:

The idea is to provide information so people can make up their own mind, instead of claiming something is "top tier" without providing any reason why.

I like the keyboards... I feel we all do.
