Leaning more towards this design now. Think it may be the one that I will get the PCB designed off of.

made the windows 1x and the pn 1.25x, this allows you to distinguish fn from pn slightly better and if you want say a control and just one extra layer instead of two extra layers you can set pn to control.

Nice layout, but it would not be better to make the print screen key into a delete one?

That design has been scrapped for the new one as the old one does not fit in standard 60% cases

For key caps would it be possible to use a standard DCS set for 90% of the keys, then get DCS blanks for the oddball keys?

That will work for everything except the 2x shift (you can get a DCS blank 1x shift), but the profile will be a bit strange. Not too bad, but its not uniform

I already tried that layout. It is actually the only layout with arrow cluster that you can fit in a poker case. The problem is that the left shift is very uncomfortable to use and the arrow cluster is actually hard to find (due to the fact that is surrounded by 1u keys).

As odd as it is, I'd prefer the FC660 layout. The generous size of keys around the arrow cluster make them very easy to find.

indeed, so far the 660C is one of the best keyboards I have (since I replaced the lame 45g with 55g rubber domes)

Where did you get your 55g domes from?

Mine is the MX version that allows me to dress her up anyway I want. Now she is waiting for the Macross set, and the PBT Granite later.  ;D

from a donor Realforce.

The Macross set on the 660M will be simply fantastic!

I won't mind that. I never use R shift, and plan to just map it to Alt or some other key. I usually don't have my fingers on home row when using arrows so I don't mind them being hard to use
