Is there anyone who cannot resist typing on Topre but keep collecting other types of keyboard?

Anyone who is typing on Topre but suggests other people to by Cherry MX because you don't want them to discover your love affair with Topre?

Anyone who knows for sure that Topre is your end-game keyboard but you still go and luck outside for a better one? However, even your keyboard collection keeps increasing with an exponential number of keyboards (Cherry MX, modded Cherry MX, Korean keyboard, NMB Space invader, ALPS, BS, etc.), you still comeback typing on your Topre because you love it so much.

Anyone?  :))

No.. I'm very clear about this. I use a HHKB at work. At home I use a RealForce 55g.

I don't intend to buy new MX keyboards.

But I'm keeping my Poker blues and Code clears to decorate with keycaps. Am also keeping the Matias alps just for rainy days.

I sold my BlackWidow blues and is trying to sell my KBTalking browns.

The more I type on Topre, the less I actually like it.  I keep going back to Cherry, and that's what I collect.

I hate Topre, but still have managed to collect a couple boards somehow. Hey, at least they'll keep in good condition.

I keep coming back to Topre. While I'll probably stick to the ErgoDox just for ergonomics, I just couldn't go without my favorite switch.

I'm just going to have an eternal hard on for an HKKB but never buy one because I don't use vim. That's my trick to happiness.

I love my HHKB, but sometimes I miss dedicated arrow keys too much (spending all day every day at work using them), so I switch back to Model M or something.

A RealForce TKL would be ideal, if I could afford one (or two).
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Since my HHKB is all 55G, I prefer the Leo for the all 45G for typing all night and gaming. Also the Steel plate (after dental banding/lubing, otherwise too loud) and arrows (+ 2 upper corner keys to map) are a plus. But I will admit the HHKB looks more visually appealing on the desk because it isnt as wide and the corner areas are blank. So the HHKB gets a +1 for looks but the Leo +1 for functionality.

(a cry in the dark) did anyone of you experience finger pain when typing on a topre switch?

I am almost positive Ive done some type of damage to my fingers from my job, ten keying for inventory. Also I do Web Design. But I think the Ten Keying does more damage. Anyways, after a while the 55G starts to hurt my joints forsure.

So perhaps because HHKB is case-mounted, it makes the typing force will be absorbed less?
I have tested typing on HHKB and RF45g uniformed. I feel just like HHKB is a bit heavier. I'm not sure if my feeling is correct but if it is, then HHKB 55g will be heavier than RF55g (plate-mounted)
That doesn't count the fact that your HHKB maybe lubed with thick lube. It may also add some weights to your key switches.

I've been quiet recently, but for quite a while I was probably Topre's most vocal proponent here on GH :) I've been in love with Topre switches for a long time.

My "crisis of faith" though is that I've loved ergonomic boards for longer, and unfortunately can't reconcile these two passions. While I think a TopreDox (or the like) might technically be possible, it's gonna take a loooong time and probably lots of money to put together (not to mention basically writing a capacitive switch circuit from scratch).

I have close to 30 Topre boards now (~6 Realforces / no HHKBs). It is obvious that I have a problem at this stage, but I justify it by telling myself that I am doing the community some sort of small service by documenting the more obscure examples. The board I use at home is not even a Topre keyboard, it's the beautifully ugly Olivetti ANK 25-101. I occasionally dabble in the world of NMB, Alps and Buckling Springs but I just don't have the endurance to use them for any extended periods.

As a way of limiting myself I try and keep my Topre purchases to stuff that isn't easily available (and therefore not much known about them). The ones that are pretty easy to obtain are the ones I actually use (e.g. 87U, 104U, etc.). I did have an HHKB at one point but the big mistake I made there was buying the JP version and the bottom row spacing on that board really sucks. I'd give one a try again some day (US layout) but I'm in no rush, plus I prefer the feel of the Realforce anyway.

um utron?

Nope. Just splitting the board isn't what I'm looking for. If I'm going to type on a typical staggered QWERTY layout I'll just stick to the RealForce. The main selling point of the ErgoDox for me is the vertically staggered columnar layout and thumb buttons. That's what I want in a "TopreDox".
