I'm interested as well. I'd pick up at least enough for a TKL and 60% board.

DCS please

I'm actually about to put in a very large order with our UK supplier - so could potentially increase that order quantity to make them even cheaper for you guys?

What will the price end up being?

Would need a rough estimate of how many switches you guys require before I can check.
I would probably interested for 200-300.  But it would depend on the price

I'd want 100. It's for a 60%, but that should be enough to cover any non-clicky ones.

I hate having to think this way with whites. I recently bought 100 and only 43 or so clicked correctly.

Have you tried swapping stems among various housings?  I've read it might help with poorly clicking switches.

The most common issue was hard clicking like a green. I fixed it with careful lubrication. Not sure how that will work long term though.

Edit: my lubing efforts

Will the prices go down the more we buy? IE if we buy 10,000 will we go below $0.50 per switch? If so, count me in for ~100.

I can get some but unfortunately they won't be as cheap as 50¢, even for 2000 as the next price break is nearer 5000.

The guys at mechanicalkeyboards.com say they will eventually have whites for sale.

^^ just repeating myself.....IF they get them they should correlate to the current pricing which would be ~$0.49 @ 100 switches w/free shipping CONUS.

The prices on that page are in GBP (British Pounds)...   so the 500 pieces price is 0.36 GBP = 0.59 USD.

I don't see why they wouldn't be the same price, but I'm speculating and all the confirmation is soon and/or eventually  :-X

Someone mentioned that Cherry's lead time is currently at 30-40 weeks because of the Logitech order. MX whites might also no longer be produced. I am considering twice as expensive sources atm.

Did Logitech make another large order? I know they were said to be affecting things a long time ago but I hadn't heard anything recently.

I don't know if it the same order, a continuation of the order or another one but Cherry are apparently busy for quite some time.

Devlin appears to sell MX White as well as some White MX Lock which I have never seen before.

Interesting that they say Whites are 65cN actuation. So they are lighter than greens

There have been some variations of the MX Lock switch. The white translucent version is listed under MX Lock section of deskthority wiki.

I am not sure about the mx lock, but I think the MX "white" is just mx clear because it said Soft Tactile high force

Delvin lists the switch's actuation point for all the other colours, and clears actuation at 55cN. I think it's reasonable to say that Whites are indeed lighter than Greens due to the pre-applied lube/sound dampening stuff in it. :thumb:

MX Whites are considered soft tactile due to the switch being quieter than MX Greens.

MX Clears are simply called "tactile" under the Cherry MX Specsheet

The item code MX1A-Axxx also points to MX White according to this:

Yes, I actually checked the codes to verify that they were actually MX White. Now, who wants to contact them and nicely ask how many they have, at what price tiers and what their MOQ is?

The clear MX lock is just weird though.

They currently have 400+ in stock although I can tell you now, you're looking at more than £0.50/switch

Well, I ordered from 7bit. I probably should have ordered more, but at least I have enough for a full board so that I can make an informed decision of what I think of them.
