Modding Poker 2 with LEDs

Hiya people!
I'm awaiting my Poker 2 which should arrive soon. It's the PBT version without the backlight. My plan is to add the LEDs myself.
I've studied the PCB and watched a couple of build logs so the actual work is no problem but I'm unsure of what kind of LEDs to use.
3mm round flangeless ones is my best bet so far, but further specification I lack. I ordered these off of ebay, I'm thinking they
should
work.

Any feedback is well appreciated!

people say that the 2x3x4mm square leds work well with cherry switches, though I can't really say cause I haven't tried them
here are some old threads that talk about it, good luck

2x3x4 rectangle led fits nicely with my Poker 2 pbt version.

I successfully added a magenta 3.2V 3mm led into my poker non-led version. It's a little dim but hey it works. KBC covered the led holes with solder so you should get rid of those first.

Thanks for all the answers guy's. The 3mm flangeless ones got delivered faster than I expected so I just poped them in. Works great. Thank for the feedback

Those can be nice, but that would mean you'd have to desolder every single switch.
And I never plan to switch from white LEDs anyway ^^

Yes but then you can use a plate that lets you open the switches for lubing as well as changing led colours with different key cap colour schemes

Yeah, but I don't think the need for a custom plate comes from the need to use sip sockets.
If I already had a custom plate I would consider it, but since I don't, I won't
