MX Green Springs = ?

I have some extra green switches laying around and was wondering if the springs in them were the same stiffness as those found in the black switches.

I was thinking about putting green springs in some clear switches to make them more smooth.... but don't really want to make the clear switches any more stiff than they already are.

Thoughts?

Green are 80g while black are 60g according to deskthority

Different measurements: AFAIK green springs = black springs (80g), that's why people make ghetto greens from blue stems + black springs.

Clears with black springs (panda clears) are popular, same with 62/65/68g custom springs (ergo clears). Just don't go lower or your spring may not push your stem back.

I guess I was hoping the extra 20g of force comes from the green stem being different than a linear one. If I put the same spring in a clear I would think the force would be more but by how much I'm not sure.

I like the idea of making some panda clears... I do enjoy slightly heavier switches. Do you think the green spring in a clear housing would be similar to a panda clear with black springs? Sounds like it should be...

Yep, it should be.

Many people (myself excluded) like clears as they are: their default springs teach you not to bottom out, because if you don't, they are not tiring.
