The inferior quality issue is supposedly to do with how the keys feel. Apparently they are quite loose compared with those of a Lexmark-made one.
It's weird to see a real picture of one. Unicomp's picture of the trackpoint-less Mighty Mouse seems to be a crudely photoshopped version of their M4-1 equivalent -
You can see that the mouse buttons are half-there, and the keyboard has trackpoint GHB keys without the trackpoint... Either it's a picture of a prototype model, or someone in Unicomp went out of their way to edit a picture that ended up looking much worse than if they had just got a camera and photographed the real thing
