Digilog DLM 5
« on: Wed, 26 November 2014, 17:00:58 »

I stumbled upon it on ebay.( http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-Digilog-DLM5-Data-Line-Monitor-/111457689849?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19f36560f9  )

After I giggled about the don't care keycap, I was interested in that layout. Giant spacebar, the arrow keys, ctrl placement, f15, etc.

Does anyone know anything about this guy?  I would really love to find one locally to harvest it's keycaps.

The keycaps may have come from the same place that AWC and PED sourced the keycaps for the BBC Micro:

http://wouter.bbcmicro.net/pictures/computer/keyboard/index.html

(Types 1 and 4 were from AWC, and type 3 from PED; type 2 was made by SMK and had clearly different keycaps.)

They're extremely similar, although there are clear differences, particularly *, ', ~ and J.

No idea on the switches. Whatever switch they used, appears to support integrated LEDs, although shift lock and caps lock don't appear to have the LED in the same place relative to the switch, which is odd (with caps lock it appears to be within the switch, while with shift lock it appears to be adjacent to the switch).

Just ask the seller to pull a cap, though knowing ebay sellers you could easily be waiting a few days
