Hand Sanitizer and Legends

Sometimes I keep some hand sanitizer at my desk and use it while I am seated at my keyboard. It occurred to me that maybe this was not a good idea because if it doesn't dry completely before I type again, it might remove my keycap legends? I don't know of any issues with it but I'm not sure if down the road it might haste the removal of legends or discolor the key caps. Maybe sometime I'll find some spare caps and just squirt the stuff on there, I guess it's mostly alcohol and probably evaporates quickly enough to not be a real problem.

Does anyone know more about this?

Yes, it is.

Double shot caps are immune to anything, including sandpaper.
Dye subs are almost as good, as are laser-etched, in this scenario.

Pad-printing, however, might be quite vulnerable to chemicals.

Also UV-Coating (although not as common) will pretty much melt on contact with alcohol.
