It seems nice in the pictures. It has that side glow.

I don't know if I'd jump on it though.

It sucks that so many people voted for it but didn't buy it.

It's not that bad actually, I remember max keyboards being waaaay more flashy

This one is less flashy then the ducky's, so that's good, I can see gamers with lighted equipments enjoying something like this

Also it has an App button :D

This and the recently added ISO wasd model seem really poorly considered to me, the wasd in particular came really low down it's source poll with 20 odd votes and yet they still added it as a drop locked in to mx browns and none of the standard wasd customization options, not even just a "pick your keyset colour", as if a middling priced tlk with browns is worth the wait and shipping costs.

I'm really conflicted about not supporting it as we've been vocally complaining in a variety of funny accents about ISO options for a good while, but this smells of WASD saying "we want to shift these would you stick 'em up for us?".

It makes me doubt the level of genuine enthusiast domain knowledge at work behind some of the drops, personally I expect a little more curation of what's on offer and drops like this devalue the times when it is displayed.

i actually really like the blackbird. has a good solid feel to it, and the sidelighting looks great. keycaps may be thin, but they are doubleshot, which is not something you find often in stock keycaps. that said, i promptly replaced mine with the vortex PBT/POM set anyway. the included wrist pad is pretty nice. the one weird thing about it is the color of the blue LEDs is a different shade of blue than anything else i've got so it doesn't quite match.

however, there are too many awesome keyboards out there for me to buy two of the same one, so i'm not getting in on the drop.

The blackbird.... is that supposed to remind one of the beautiful SR-71 or A-12 blackbirds? The styling does not match the name.

Woah, I just noticed the legends on the number keys! I'd be afraid of it punching in the symbol every time I wanted to put in a digit!1!1

it's due to the backlighting. it is a little bit confusing, but i actually ended up putting the stock number row back on along with the rest of the vortex PBT keys, because otherwise i found myself counting keys to make sure i was going to hit the right number when in a dark room.

It would make more sense if this was like a budget board for something. But at this price, you can get something MUCH better.
