hot-swapping converted keyboards

So you're not supposed to hot-swap PS/2 keyboards, right? But you CAN hot-swap USB keyboards. So, can you hot-swap a PS/2 keyboard with an active USB converter at the end, or will you still risk damaging the keyboard?

Somewhat off-topic, but if Soarer's Converters are involved, and you try to add a 2nd one, it won't work.
Only the first Soarer's Teensy is recognized at a time.
