Thinking about buying a custom ACCESS-IS board.
« on: Sun, 01 January 2012, 20:31:46 »
I saw this picture some where on GH and I was instantly memorized. I have been yearning for this type of layout for so long. Here is the picture.

I was wondering about the cost of these boards and I assume they are NKRO over PS/2. So matrix + NKRO = heaven for games imo. Anyone else have these type of boards?

Nkro over ps2.  5kro via blue cube adaptor.  You can find them on eBay UK every now and again.

I paid 20 pounds for the one in the photo.

Ascaii, do you have any AKC048 ones, or know where to get them? I've been wanting a pair of those!

You can download the software to program the keyboard for free.  Just search for softprog on their website.  I've got that template somewhere if you want it.

I asked the Access-IS guys for a quote. I'd be interested in 2 AKC048 if the split ergo group buy doesn't take off. Here's his response:

Sorry about the delay, I have taken a few days off work. The unit price for the AKC048 is £129 (based on an order for 10 pieces. The delivery cost is £13.50 for 10 pieces (UK Mainland).

Thanks! Wow, it's too expensive, it's like $400 USD to make a split keyboard. Can't they give a cheaper price if we don't require any customization?
Anyway, guess we need to keep watching eBay :-(
