Also while I have this wish-list thread going, what are the odds that Kalih or Gateron will make a clicky switch that has a deeper alps-like click instead of the high-pitched plasticky-sounding MX blue click?

According to the deskthority wiki,
"On request, Cherry has stated that they will actually produce Ergo Clears in a slider-colour of choice, with a minimum order of at least 750,000 switches."

(this is from their page on cherry ergo clear switches.)

Yeah we know. :D

Didn't Cherry once say they would make them, but only if it reached 750k MOQ?  :)) :))

Actually, I may be rethinking my position...

They've just released info about their new linear switch which has a spring weight right in the ballpark, around 62 to 65g: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=76240.msg1910891#msg1910891

If they make a "Silent" RGB Clear with those springs I'd be all over them like white on rice. Silent slider means new slider molds, RGB case means new case molds (and the combination of new slider and case molds = smooth switches), silent means no need for trampoline and latex mods, those springs means no need to replace the springs... Finally an MX switch that would require no mods at all... Dream switch for me. Zealios come close, but I still need to add trampolines and latex (and copper tape).
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.
