Remapping 60% arrow keys
« on: Sun, 06 December 2015, 22:52:02 »
Hi everyone, I was thinking of joining the 60% master race. I had one concern; the arrow keys. Take this board for example https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1447

I don't like where the default layer of arrow keys are placed. Therefore, I was wondering if I would be able to replace those default arrow keys to Shift, Win, Ctrl, and that other key in the middle of win and Ctrl. Use that specific KB for reference, thanks a lot :).

EDIT: just found out its on massdrop lol heres a better pic, https://www.massdrop.com/buy/kbparadise-v60-mini-gateron/talk/321542

KBP has a DIP switch that lets you do exactly that. Right shift as up arrow, then win+menu+Rctrl.

You can always use the space-FN concept and remap the arrows wherever you want, if you are under windows you should try TouchCursor, it could be used even on full size keyboards, so you may try it before buying an actual sixty.

On KBP V60 you can press fn + Enter to enable arrow mode. It turns the bottom right corner into arrow keys. It also lights up a LED under enter to indicate arrow mode is on.

Anther option is to get a programmable keyboard or hasu's USB to USB converter. I now have dual-role keys on bottom right corner that works like this[\url] thanks to hasu's awesome PCB and TMK firmware.
TMK Alps64 w/ Matias Quiet Switches in KBP V60 case.
Infinity60 with SKCM Orange Switches w/ TMK.
CM Storm QRF w/ Frosty Flake controller, Cherry MX Blue Switches and TMK firmware.

Coming:
Ellipse Model F F62.
