TADA68 Opinions

Hi
Was thinking about adding the TADA to my line up, but have no experience of GAT switches. I like switches on the heavier and clickier side. Switches in stock on the TADA are Gateron blue/black and brown.
Any opinions or experience with these switches OR the board would be most welcome.

Gateron blacks are quite springy and tiring for light switch users (like me). They're a pretty smooth linear feel though. Brown tactility is nice but subtle and unobtrusive. Haven't had the pleasure of the blue clicks yet.

I believe gat greens are also an option. I got mine from OCO (the saber 68) and got gateron greens. I don't know much about keyboards in general, but I do know that I absolutely love my tada68. I programmed it with macros that save me so much time. Plus, the enjoypbt keys are just wonderful.

As for the gateron greens; at first, it was a weird transition from cherry MX blue, but, after using it for a while, I can safely say that I prefer it over the MX blues. The greens have a smoother feel, while still keeping that tactile Sound.

I second the Gat Green switches - if you prefer your switches heavier.

Got one with reds. Much smoother then cherry. The stock caps are perfect. Would of happily paid more for it. Best value board I've ever bought.

I had one with Gateron Browns and will definitely say these are MUCH better than their Cherry counterpart. However, I had it switched over to 67g Zealios and enjoyed the board much more that way.


The aluminium cases are definitely top notch, however, I honestly like my boards to be a bit portable and subsequently never bought into the upgraded case and found the plastic to be just fine. Definitely a great board for the price.
